my fav part of this the right top corner with the red stuff flowing down
Thanks! it was so satisfying to paint on heavy and watch streak down.
Incredibly rich pallete, and an intense attention to formative aspects and gesture. I like it a lot. :)
I like your use of day-glo in your oranges. Is that a flourescent you've mixed in?

Thank you very much.
No - no fluorescence, but I did mix in some iridescent coppers and golds to some of the colors. The flash some of the colors especially where I had built up numerous layers.

oops. I meant to say: The camera flash intensified some of the colors, especially where I had built up numerous layers.
Oh , man, this is gorgeous. The colours are so dark, yet still manage to have an intense, richness to them, and the textures in this are absolutely delicioussssss. For how busy the piece is, it manages to have a sense of balance and order.
This is beautiful.

Woo~ sheesh I spent forever trying to resolve the disparate formal issues, so thanks, its good to hear that it has a sense of balance. Beeswax always adds such wonderful surface, and texture-- was pretty epic.. painting it on thick, melting it with a hairdryer, scraping away and caking it back on. It was pretty delicious to work with.
Absolutely love this piece, something about the textures and use of different types of stokes and methods that really brings it to life.
This is really pretty! I especially like the fish scale pattern; it's very... oriental?
Smeared with mud, butter and barbecue sauce flies.
Who has the fever blister and whom has the sty?

this is....amazing. It's just so loud with subtlety. this is my favourite of your posted pieces. REALLY GOOD!
This is Spectacular. I'd love it if the original was ridiculously large so I could hang it in my amazingly huge, modern house ;)
