My most recent gorilla sketches. I think that my many days of learning through observation and (pun intended) aping several references, I've conquered the issues I was having with previous iterations. Specifically the brow, eyes and mouth/chin. I hope that with more practice things become easier to do freehanded and smoother. I also practiced some expressions. I actually teared up doing those sad faces! Expect to see many, many more apes on this page. They're my favorite animal, tied only with Red Pandas. There's also some minor hand practice. It turned out as much as I expected. Also, braids are hard. I hope you enjoy these!
