tbh im actually really terrified of the cordyceps fungus, it freaks me out
it invades the host body and replaces the tissue with mycelium, eventually growing fruiting bodies through the exoskeleton. it also affects the behavior of the host as the host dies. i'm really thankful it only affects insects and not larger mammals... aa......

*nods* yea ive heard of it, it is
odd but... idk its still not definition
of gore to me. id think it breaking
through the skin where it wasnt
supposed to originally be since its
an infection would cause bleeding
around the areas where it came through
thus classification of gore then. ah
well this pic is still pretty neat, i think
if it had flowers id probably giggle xD

i think because of the way the fungus grows it doesn't cause bleeding! it fits a broader concept of gore, just not really the traditional blood-and-guts variety
