The more up close shot does mix things up a bit, but the thing that always makes me kinda appreciate stuff like this is that they never really look like a real predatorial creature. Granted I don't know much at all about final fantasy stuff, but they always seemed so happy and adorable to be seen as a more predator style species (I'm prolly projecting xD)

But yes this up close shot is awesome, I do love the detail put into the tongue. The little taste buds, the small river of saliva, and the mix up in colors is awesome too! The throat being opened like that kinda makes it like a water slide...

This has two of the three things I have a soft spot for. I love retro games, and I love mawshots. The only thing missing for this one would be a uvula, but I'm not too picky. ;P

I like uvulas too, but unfortunately they get in the way of some maw designs. I'll definitely have a bias for uvulas if the mouth style allows, though~ ^v^
