Kind of an odd creature. A skinny man's upper half attached to a large, meaty lizard bottom half. Seems very oddly proportioned.
That's actually largely intentional in the design; the demons in this mythology are NOT necessarily nice, well-balanced, "normal" creatures. Many are horrific monstrosities, disproportioned, and unnatural in every way. Quite a few end up looking like something which shouldn't exist, when all is said and done (largely because, in some ways, they, in fact, SHOULDN'T exist :) ). Of course, some (like Gilrandree) appear as well proportioned, even handsome creatures, but that's not at all universally true of all the demons in this universe.
One of the key things of this fellow's design was that someone could see his upper body and not really entirely realize just HOW mutated the creature was, but as soon as the lower body comes into view, you realize the creature you're dealing with is isn't even close to human in reality, even if part of him appears that way. That kind of drives the disproportionate design.

Yeah, as Aeto mentioned, it's entirely intentional - he's a big fan of demons being appropriately grotesque or "offensively" disproportioned, likes the "wrongness" of the aesthetics I think and finds it appropriate, being demons ;)
Heh, yes, I was given that as a reference and requested to keep certain features the same :)
wow, that's pretty intense 0w0
love the lightning and how it reflects off some of the scales
awesome work ^_^

Yep, pretty odd, though pretty interesting design. Love how you made those scales, great work!
Thanks a lot! And yeah, I was pretty happy how the scales turned out - all the practice I've gotten with dragons over the past year has paid off, it seems :b
Lol surprisingly things look even more gruesome when you put a nearly 100% human feature or body part on something that is non-human.
Imagine this for example, a fish with a human head on it or a kangaroo with human face and human feet. lol

Heh, yeah, Aeto loves that, and I find exploring different aspects of "uncanny valley"-ville to be interesting, so it works out well, haha :b
The Father of all Lies should always depicted as a abomination
I think there could be an argument to be made for most demons being depicted as abominations :b although ironically, I think a demon of lies looking 100% like a normal human might be appropriate :V
Haha, I saw this at first and thought, "Wow, this would make an awesome demon prince-type boss." Then I saw it was you and realized why I thought that. XD Another magnificent piece. I love how you get across the grotesque nature of this creature while also managing to maintain a little bit of the supernatural... elegance (for lack of a better term) that I imagine high-ranking demons to have in some form or fashion.
Haha, that's pretty cool/convenient, thank you ;) <3 Always nice to know when things work out, heh :b Thanks a lot, really appreciated :)
It’s hard to find words to describe how impressive this looks. Every little detail, the way it looks as though light is seeping through the scales in his grotesque, draconic lower half, it’s all so fittingly horrifying yet magnificent!
