How did the police chief get so gay so quickly in so many people's minds?
You can attribute that to Disney pairing him off with Clawhauser in advertising and supplementary materials, who we now know is the gayest gay who ever gayed. XP
Plus he's voiced by Idris Elba and hot damn, him, Vin Diesel, and Morgan Freeman can all just read the phone book and I'd just fuckin' melt into a puddle of partially sentient goo.
So by being buff he's instantly gay by default? xD ...I get what you're saying; that because he's buff and has an attractive voice all the gay men want to get with him but... still!
To be fair it's no different from when a female character is paired with another female. Do you know how many rule34 females are bisexual or lesbians when drawn by straight guys?

Every character people get attached to get the bisexual tag added because that's what they want to see though. In this case Anhes wants to see him be gay. But everybody is more focused on Judy and Nick anyway.That goes beyond the furry fandom. It's not a furry fandom thing it goes for all characters in cartoons, anime, and real life.

Is it a problem if I'm curious? <raises eyebrows> I look at gay art all the time. My reasoning is no more complex than 'I don't really see it.' plus curiosity.

Oh you were comparing the concept of Bogo being gay to the Nick and Judy shipping thing? <shrugs> I don't see any real comparison there, but ok. People ship those two because they interacted so beautifully in the movie, and at the end, she flats says she loves him. xD ...At least that's what *I* think is the reason. As far as I could see, there wasn't anything in the movie to suggest the chief was gay.
As for me seeing Bogo going for another guy...? Not really. I'm not at that mental state it would take for me to auto assign every hot guy I saw to being counted as being possibly(probably) gay. And being tough, strong, dominant, in charge, large physically... none of those trigger my 'must be gay' concepts first. ARE some gay guys some or all of these? I'd be surprised if not. But it's not the first thought I tend to have.
