FAQ

Do you take requests or trades?
Requests never. Trades with friends.

How much are prints?
The nice, color accurate, full bleed, packaged prints on nice paper are 15USD. The old ones are 8USD matted and 5USD in loose format. Shipping depends on your location.

How large are your badges?
Traditional badges are 3x5 inches. They do not come laminated. They do come with the name written.

What about two characters?
Prices listed are for a single figure. Additional characters are the same price, so that there is no difference between two characters in one picture or two pictures of a single character.

Do you include backgrounds?
Prices listed are without any environment or furniture. Backgrounds are priced by the hour. A simple background such as some sky and some vague grass takes about an hour. I am most skilled at trees and fabric, and less skilled with indoor environments. Please note me with a description of what you want to get a quote.

Can you do lineart?
Yes, but it's a pain. As you can see, most of my work is blotchy and messy. I have the ability to do linework and templating, and I used to work for a pet sim game, but painting is much quicker. Linework, like all miscellaneous items, is charged by the hour.

Can I commission a sketch or lineart from you and then have someone else line or color it?
Yep. Go ahead.

Can I commission you just to color this sketch or lineart?
Case by case basis. Send me a note. Priced by the hour.


Are you open for commissions?
The work queue, including commission slots, are listed in my profile. Please check there, or send me a note if you would like a price quote on a larger project. If you would like to work out details ahead of time, you will be placed on the wait list and gain priority status when slots open. You are always welcome to note me to ask whether commissions are open. You are not bothering me and I will not be annoyed with you.

Why are you never open for commissions?
I'm secretly a grownup with a grownup job outside of FA. I am absent each year between January 30 and April 15, and also for the beginning of October.

What is the best method of communication?
Please send me a note over FA. You can also email me at [email protected], if that is your preference, but notes are less likely to get buried among personal items. You are always welcome to message me on Skype or send me a note for a chat, even if we have no business to discuss.

Do you stream?
Occasionally. Yes, I do take in-stream commissions. Apologies for the lack of a schedule.

Do you do NSFW?
Yes, but very selectively. If you're interested, throw me a note.

What program do you use?
Paint Tool SAI and a bamboo tablet. I use the default round brush and sometimes the watercolor brush and bristle texture. I have tried photoshop in the past, but the computer isn't powerful enough to handle it.

How long have you been drawing?
I took my first USD commission in 2008.

What school did you go to?
I have not had any formal training in art, and thus have no credible recommendations or advice about the art school dilemma. I do have formal training in a completely different industry, and I can tell you that a college education is worth it, so long as you are fairly certain of performing near the top of your class and not so much if you have been historically a poor student.
