Commissioned by Stalbon for Vincent
“Atop cushions Vincent the fat Gryphon relaxes. Basking in the light of late day.”
I was requested to do an obese gryphon named “Vincent”. I obliged. I think this came out remarkably well. I definitely need to do more birds and gryphons, they are always a challenge, and fun to do. Especially, gryphons.
Medium: Acrylic on Hardboard
Size: 8 in x 10 in

I can't thank you enough, my friend! The finished piece looks truly lovely, and I think you did a magnificent job on his wings, especially. Each individual pinion, and the colors running their lengths, really stands out!
Again, its my pleasure fulfilling your request. Thank you for your patronage *Bows*
Oooh wow, how much time did it take working on this? lovely work! ^^
Thank you *Bows*
I did not keep tabs on the time, but somewhere around 20-25 hours. I am not sure tho.

It looks so dangerous and so huggable at the same time! How do you do that?
Magic *Wink*
I would say skill, lots of practice, and patience.
Thank you *Bows*

Omg, this is so wonderful!! :D (I would love to commission you to do my and hubby's gryph chars sometime.) <3
What a great characterization! I just keep remembering Edward Lear's The Owl and the Pussycat -- one of their offspring might look so...
If that creature is psychologically anything like a cat then I can only begin to imagine the mortal peril involved in surrendering to the urge to pet that bellyfloof.
