So, i guess i haven't introduced her here before. Drataksian Golden wing general, Furia. Shala's older sister(though not by blood.) Even before Shala became a queen, Furia was already the highest authority of the Drataksian military, serving under the previous king, with hopes to change their world.
The piece of story i made, however, is kinda alternate for what i've created this far. Shala never took the throne, Ignis was never released from the arena, or she was never born to begin with.
I got the inspiration to this story, about Sabaton's song - Hearts of Iron. The song about german general walther wenck, and his 12th army, who refused to obey hitler during last days of war. Instead of attacking the soviets closing in on Berlin, Wenck chose to evacuate as many civillians and the men of 9th army over Elbe river, to surrender to the americans on the other shore. In this story, Furia plays the part of Walther Wenck.
As the time passed, their own world wasn't enough for their king any more. Drataksian military was most powerful in known existence, with enormous amount of troops, and masses of warmachinery.
Furia had hoped she never had to march into the war, yet she had vowed to serve the king, no matter what. During few years, it seemed that Drataksian military was indeed invincible. Then their luck in war turned.
The worlds they had invaded, those they were supposed to invade, formed new military coalition, which was supposed to counter Drataksian military might. Galactic union turned the tide of the war, bit by bit forcing dratakses back to their homeworld.
"See the Reich in flames
Try to save Berlin in vain
It's a road through death and pain
On the other shore, there's the end of the war"
Furia had done everything she could, nothing more could be achieved by fighting. Prolonging the battles would only increase the casualties, civil casualties that was. Their king was mad, Furia was so mad at herself, because she hadn't been able to see through their king's mischievous plan. Their once so mighty military strenght, their once nearly invincible masses of warmachinery, now almost reduced to nothing, Drataks' didn't have any hope of defeating the G.U, and their united armies.
"Who could ever have believed
Seems like nothing's been achieved
Just to walk a day, go all the way
The fronts are closing in
As the end is drawing near
The 12th Army interfere
Open up a route, get people out
It's forces spread out thin"
Furia got word from the palace. They had received one final offer of surrendering from the G.U's general, which was like light in the black for Furia. She was, however, thunderstruck, as king refused this offering. With this, G.U commenced operation to invade their great capital, using ground forces. King gave Furia an order, to gather the remains of their armies, and to counterattack their enemy. Golden wing general knew that to be suicide mission. She chose to refuse that order, disobey their king. She did gather the remains of her army, remains of her elite troops, and the remains of their warmachinery.
From east, there was closing in an vengeful army of Xertas, who had suffered greatest losses during Drataksian offensive. Using G.U, they had rebuilt their armies, their military might, restored their ranks, and now thirsted for revenge.
From the west was closing in the army of more peaceful Slidras, who had been more willing to make peace with Drataks, than the others.
Both armies were closing in fast, but it was obvious, that Xertas would reach the capital first, which would mean bloodbath for Drataksian people. Furia made the decision.
She ordered most of her army, and almost all the warmachines to defensive positions, to slow down the advancing of the Xertas troops. The rest of the troops, she ordered to begin the evacuation of the city.
"It's the end, the war has been lost
Keeping them safe 'til the river's been crossed
Nicht ein Schlacht, ein Rettungsaktion
Holding their ground 'til the final platoon
"Hurry up, we're waiting for you"
Men of the 9th and civilians too!
Dispossessed, surrendering to the West"
They fought well, many warriors fell. From the beginning though, it was obvious that there was no triumphant ending for them. At the same time, masses of civillians were travelling to the west, along with some troops, who gladly surrendered to the Slidras military.
At one final moment, Furia gave an order to all of her troops, to retreat while fighting to the west. With the last of those civillians who wanted to leave, Furia stood behind, to make sure no-one was left behind.
At that time, Xertas began the invasion of the city. Those troops still loyal to the king were overrun, no matter how hard they fought. Furia had one last land battleship still running. She gave the gunners orders to fire their railgun to the palace. She wasn't able to turn back time, but it was the king, who had began all of this madness, Furia would at least end it.
"See the city burn on the other side
Going down in flames as two worlds collide
Who can now look back with a sense of pride?
On the other shore, there's the end of the war... "
Standing on top of the ship, Furia saw the palace, no... the whole city burn. She said no word, just stood silent. There was nothing for her to be proud of. No matter the amount of civillians she had saved, it wouldn't wipe away her sins.
Furia surrendered to the Slidras, along with the remains of her troops. Xertas' were furious at her, because she had taken their revenge against the king from them, and demanded that Slidrases would surrender Furia to them. Slidras, however, were not willing to do this, and Xertas, weakened by drataksian defenders, weren't willing to fight with Slidras.
Even though she was imprisoned, and brought to justice to answer the crimes of drataksian military, her final deed was noted. Xertas still demanded Furia to be given to their hands. Still, all the evidence they had, proved that Furia had never fell guilty to any warcrime. That, and the fact that dratakses needed someone to lead them, to rebuild their world into the peaceful world it used to be. Also, the masses of drataksian civillians were ready to spoke for her sake. The judgement was passed.
Furia returned back to her hometown, their capital, which was now laying in ruins. She accepted her position as the leader of their people, yet she decided, that she would only hold the title, until someone more suitable would step up, to lead them to the better tomorrow.
