I really need to do more art like this, heavy with the black and shadows. :O
The lighting in this definitely seemed reminiscent of Ridley when I first saw it. x)
A few people have mentioned it. I'm sure if I went full silhouette, it would look even closer.

In setting, most people would treat encountering Glaives along the lines of running into wolves or bears in the wild. :O
Said it before but this came out so awesome! The lack of blended gradients reminds me of a comic style. Very menacing and intimidating!
Like I said before, I was trying to channel some Mignola (except with smooth shapes and some texture) for this.
I did not get to see the create process behind this image but it seems so noir in the way it is, and maybe a comic page cell expanded.

I could have done better, I'm sure, but I was getting tired poking at it and decided to call it a night.
Maybe could have been done better but would not have that grungy feel if it were clean and sharp.
