So this big guy here is the character Torruk Forestshroud from the newly released fantasy novel Sentinel by Chad Ballard, the cover of which I recently illustrated: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18689192/
Torruk is one of the protagonists alongside the main character Callan, whom he accompanies and protects... fiercely. He is a member of a race of shamanistic wolfmen known as the Fanir, and he is hands down one of my favorite characters!
It has been an such long time since I"ve illustrated a werewolf/wolfman so this has been incredibly enjoyable! Its a bit more loose than some of my other high detail paintings, as I was commissioned for mid detail and got carried away! This was preceded by a big werewolf study to accompany it, as I haven"t drawn them since my early furry days around 6-8 tears ago before rejoining the community. So you could say I"ve gone back to my roots!
Sentinel by Chad Ballard, and published by Realmwalker Publishing, is available on Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/19.....1_1&sr=8-1 ) and Barnes and Noble ( http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/sen.....=9781943670260 ) as well as the Realmwalker Publishing Group store ( http://www.realmwalkerpublishinggro.....urt/p/57221601 ).

He looks so powerful. I really love the lighting, this came out amazing!
Oh thanks so much Vitalitee! Glad I could get that "power" feeling across.
Now that's awesome and I'm not even going to crack wise about it not being a dragon...

Haha, thank you V! Never said I could only do dragons! Their frequency is only a coincidence, I swear!
It's such a small-ish detail, but I think the swirly blood is my absolute favorite part of this image. Love how intense everything feels. <3
Oh thanks Sidi! That was definitely one of my favorite parts to do, lol.
Oooohhh! That's quite nice! This, and the cover illustration, are the sorts of things that'll very quickly sell me on whether or not to by a book.
Judging by what I can glean from this character alone, I suspect I'd rather enjoy narrating this! Mayhaps I should ask if there are intentions towards an audiobook.
Thank you for sharing this! I'mma go click the Follow button.
Oh thank you so much! I'm not sure if Realmwalker does audio books (yet), but in the coming years I'd find it likely!
The artwork is stunning! That's a great looking wolf, and certainly a huge one!
Bought this at fwa a couple days ago now its my mousepad haha. Your arts amazing and it was nice meeting you briefly
This is increadibly good! The Werewoof himself, the background, but mostly the dynamic of the scene... seems like he is jumping right at me!
