She is the Tails of the group being smarter than her master and even inventing stuff with the help of off member Svetlana (off members are the Squeakers that are called upon when they are needed the most to fill in weaknesses or taking on enemies that requires special tactics).

She donned the poncho to impress her master, Virtuoso "Ponchocat" Maragold and even gave herself the nickname "Poncholynx".
