This guy has been my "after work" project for the past few weeks. I wanted to do a project that I could let evolve naturally instead of being so planned out from the start. I happened to get this fantastic jillcostumes dance mask blank in the mail at the perfect time, so I went a little wild with it.
Details:
-Face is a resin jill0r base. This is one of her older style bases as she no longer makes them out of resin, I don't think there are too many of these kicking around still? The bottom of the muzzle is totally open and the entire eye area can be seen through, this gives this mask fantastic vision and ventilation but still does a great job of hiding the face. Would be great for dancing or for people who overheat easily.
- The face is attached to a foam "hat" and the whole thing is fully lined and just slips on and off.
-Fur patterns on head and neck are sewn from 5 different furs, neck is fully lined and all edges are finished.
-The feather crest is removable with rare earth magnets, can be worn with or without.
-Every feather on the face and crest was individually selected, trimmed, attached, and in the case of the face ones, also sealed.
-The feathers on the face are sealed, so you don't have to worry about ruffling, damaging, or breaking them. They're no more delicate than the paint job on a normal mask.
-Feather head crest is a bit more delicate, but can be removed to pack and ship and the head can be worn without it.
-Designed for 22.5" to 23.5" heads, smaller should be fine but may need a bit of padding, larger might be a bit snug.
As of right now, the head is the only piece made. Would be glad to negotiate prices for a tail and/or other pieces to go with it.
