This was a commission for 
Kiriska, who is an awesome artist I met when we were at SCAD together. Her character, Jackie, the Jackal Gator is here with some yummy figs and and a little crab.
I was pleased to find a short story about an Alligator and a Jackal to inspire this mandala.
In the story, a crafty jackal repeatedly tricks and teases an old alligator, and in his thirst for revenge, the alligator becomes a meal himself... I suppose it's a lesson to think first and not act in anger/ vengeance? Poor alligator.
