a long, long time ago, a god fell in love with a mortal. they were so much in love that the god died along with their love. their children were blessed with the god's power, and it's said that the god lives in each and every one of their many descendants. every Lestigo has magical powers, and although limited, that power has kept the race alive and thriving for millenia.

magic

the color of the magic is typically shown as an aura around the hands. the magic may also manifest itself on other body parts like a horn or in the form of a flower or marking. individuals carry colors on their body that represent their lineage. for example, if a Lestigo is red and orange, that individual has red and orange ancestors.

every Lestigo has a color to their magic. this means that they can manipulate anything that is inherently that color. they can crumble it up or fuse it to their own bodies. because of this, Lestigo pass down many colorful markings to their offspring. many Lestigo carry gems, cloth, and dye of their magic's color so that they can more easily get around. each color has its own culture, and different disposition.

red- red Lestigo love sweets and fruits. they are a jolly sort, and tend to be pretty short. they are excellent cooks and weavers. they live around the equator of the planet, around many colorful flowers and forests.

orange- orange Lestigo are pyromaniacs. they love things that explode or things that get really, really hot. they are nocturnal and live underground in some cave systems. they are also forgers, and create many different kinds of weapons that are mined up. there is a subspecies of orange Lestigo that wield brown magic. these Lestigo like being close to the earth, and love rocks. these Lestigo are hardy and brawny, and are dependable when it comes to mining up colorful ores. they have no need for colorful ores, so they're often travelling merchants who sell them.

yellow- yellow lestigo are bright, quite literally. they love the hot sun. they live in deserts where they can wield dry sand. these Lestigo are somewhat pretentious, they don't see many visitors in the desert and as such have learned how to depend on themselves. they are often very tall and love to collect scrolls and pieces of writing. they have grand cities made in the sand, shining with gold and platinum collected by their many nomadic scholars.

green- green Lestigo are calm by nature, and prefer to live alone. they love the forest and being around plants. they use their powers for healing, and very rarely for anything else. they seem to exert an aura of all-knowing, and cool aloofness.

blue- blue Lestigo don't use much magic and are somewhat rare. they live in other colonies and work in jobs that need a creative touch. they like to create fancy costumes and clothing, and often live highly. blue is a color of royalty because of its rarity, so blue Lestigo are looked upon as being gifted or special. violet is considered to be a subspecies of blue Lestigo. they are very similar, but much more rare. violet lestigo often end up being rulers over smaller towns and colonies because of their wit and charisma practiced over years of not using magic.

white- white Lestigo are controllers of light and shadow. they are nomadic and widespread, but do like to travel with friends or family. many white colonies pop up around snowy and icy areas, because of ice's strange white color. white Lestigo can be tricksters and thieves, using the power of light to blind or trick their foes.
