The wasteland must be really hot when you have a permanent fur coat on :)
And yet fennecs survive fine in the Sahara. They do tend to dig under sand during the daytime to avoid the heat at times, though
I Comment, I Reply, I Comment again! WITNESS ME FA!! :D MadMax Furry Road
So much bad resource management in this film, though.
I want to see a post-apocalyptic world where everyone drives electric solar Priuses.

Well... Mad Max universe is supposed to happen in Australia.
I guess in California they have a whole other story. Wouldn't be surprised if Elon Musk and his warlords took over a nuclear power plant, using it to power the post-apocalyptic network of car superchargers. No gasoline, no water, no food, no hope, BUT AT LEAST WE GOT PLENTY OF URANIUM!

Loool. You know, solar power is effectively free once it's established....... it really would be a good bet for post-apocalypse.... assuming of course, that there's a sun to shine down on us, and the land isn't just sunk beneath the waves.....
Oh well, we'll have tide-turbine-generated power then!

Solar panels have to be manufactured; you need high-tech factories to do that properly.
An NPP with a 30-year worth of nuclear fuel might be a better bet. After all, most NPPs used in world right now are more than 50 years old. While solar panels slowly decay over time, I think it's about 50% efficiency drop within two decades.
And think about the amount of pirates sailing on the wild seas. There would be tidal turbine scavengers all around the clock. Living close to the ocean might be counter-productive. Think of Viking invasions in the Middle ages. :P

Oh Dear. Well, then we better go Waterworld for this scenario. Everyone, ON THE BOATS!!!!
Floating cities would be doable. a 90% sea-based diet is very healthy. Just use hydroponics for fruits and veggies that we need most (fruits, root veggies, and grains)....

I was wondering why no one did that already. Connect a few tankers and barges, put 10.000 Chinese on it, offer manufacturing services, sail from one country to another looking for jobs.
Noooo, if you want a floating city, you need probably a minimum of 53,000 people to do it. And at least 10,000 of them need to have mechanical, engineering, metallurgical, or medical experience, to keep the place livable and sustainable.
Then let's settle at about 100.000 people, to have a sufficient reserve. We'd need a couple of container ships refitted for dwellings, or a few more passenger ones. Here's my calculation with some provision added:
- 13 large passenger ships, each holding 8.000 = ~104.000 in total
- 4 large container ships, each carrying 18.000 containers with 2 people in each container = ~140.000 in total
But the best solution is to make a "residential" ship, specially made for long-term seasteading.

Because they already have an entire country to do that from?
Doing it on a seastead could offer some legal advantages. Being an independent offshore zone, etc.
Little things like laws don't seem to slow the Chinese down much. There's the occasional inconvenient toxic chemical explosion, but hey...
When you say 'The Chinese' you actually think of the Chinese government? Of course they can do whatever they want, because they own the country and pwn the citizens. :3
that and cheaper types of pannels start to degrade rapidly. while others degrade much slower over say 25 years or so
Not to mention electronics devices! Post 2010s flash memories have data retention less than 50 years now. Optical medias are about 10-15 years. Magnetic media degrade after 10...
I keep hearing that, but I've got 8" floppy disks from 1976 that still work fine. And I've got CDs from like... 1981-ish that still play. Maybe it's just a plot to get everyone to re-buy their favorite stuff on the latest media...
...or throw away the perfectly usable tapes? Heh. All my 3.5" floppies from the 90s are unreadable, though. Something happens, and they just stop working, even the old utilities like Scandisc or Norton Disk Doctor cannot access them.
Factory-made CDs (CD-ROM) have the data etched an aluminum, I think. These are more durable than organic-based burnable discs (CD-R).

War Rigs in Australia move around water or fuel.
War Rigs in America move around ICBMs. XD

I misread the title as Furry Road. Now I'm kind of sad the opportunity was missed lol
the first time i saw a movie poster driving past a bus station, i misread it exactly like that. i had to drive all around the block to check what it really said. :X
More like Furry Road! :D
Yeah I'm terrible
Anyway, that's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Great art mate!

Post-Apocalyptia, where a dead stare does just as much as a bullet. Also, WITNESS!
Should probably be said it was referenced from http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net.....20150521134105
Well, clearly. I think it's a pretty iconic image from the movie. ;]
Incredible work! I really wouldn't recommend holding onto that intake though; but then again, Mad Max isn't really known for sane people, lol.
Reminds me of http://wastelandweekend.com/ you should check out some of the cosplay there and the vehicles, looks like fun, I'd love to go to a madmax post apocalyptic con.
AMERICA : we have it all (oil, money, food), so we prepare for zombie attack and post-apocalyptic scenario
JAPAN: we have tecnology, money and had many wars, so we prepare for natural disasters, world war 3, titan attack and tentacle rape.
BRAZIL: we only have oil, so we prepare for the worst.

Can you make an athro animated movie already. Disney should hire you. ._.
Tails, pointy ears, and fur make this scene immeasurably better. <3
Mad Max, The Road, Borderlands, Fallout, Tank Girl... such wonderful dystopia. <3
I really adore this work of art! It channels the inner-subconscious of post-apocalyptia like no other. Supremely

Come on, Rictus Erectus. Burning to death on a supercharger is not a proper way to ride in Valhalla eternal, shiny, and chrome. Thought you knew that, being Immortan Joe's son.
That aside, you did yet another amazing job, you raven.

You mean documentary on the current state of western Australia right? :)
Also... this piece should have been titled "Furry Road".

Oh my...I cannot help but think of the song by Tina Turner "We Don't Need Another Hero" from Thunderdome. https://youtube.com/watch?v=Gcm-tOGiva0
I should look up that movie off iTunes, been so long since I last saw it.
Excellent artwork as always!

This is beautiful! Great choice on the dingo, but maybe I'm biased. ;3
