OMG THE WATER REFLECTION, THE FISH, THE ROCKS, THE REALISM COMBINED WITH A CARTOON-ISH CHARACTER. This is truly a masterpiece. I believe you're even able to do a full scene with your drawing skills.
Nope, it's all hand painted, no texture. Just a couple of various photos to figure out how to do the ripples/reflections and stuff.
The water effect is beautiful and i love the overall scene, brings back some nice memories.

This is the best water I've seen on FA. I don't know what else I can say. I'm both filled with excitement because I want to give a go at water again, and intense levels of envy seeing how well you pulled it off. So, a year later, amazing job! Just wow.
