Honey Brown Sugar Peaches - Foil Packs
When Vrghr made those Kielbasa with Italian Veggies foil packs for that family in need, he couldn't let them go without dessert! So wuffy put together these super quick and easy peaches with honey and brown sugar glaze.
I takes 1 peach per foil pack. This is a simplified recipe, since wuffy didn't measure anything. It's all just a sprinkle or a drizzle, but for this sort of recipe, exact measurements really don't matter.
The result is tender, sweet, warm peaches that go VERY nicely with a bit of ice cream! Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!
Note - this works just as well with Granny Smith apples! But wuffy would add a wee bit more Cinnamon with the apples.
Instructions:
Slice peach into 8 wedges and remove pit
Tear off ~14 inches of Heavy Duty Foil
Butter the foil to within 1 inch of the long edges, 2 inches of the short sides
Sprinkle a light coat of brown sugar on top of the butter
Line up the wedges of peaches on top of the sugar, down the center of the foil, like a stack of Oreos (Wuffy plated them the same way they were arranged in the foil. See the photos)
Drizzle the line of peaches with a bit of Honey
Sprinkle the peaches with a little more brown sugar
Sprinkle VERY LIGHTLY with cinnamon
Dot with a teeny bit of butter between each wedge
Wrap up and seal the foil, making sure to give the center a double-crimp fold.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes
Best enjoyed with ice cream or whipped cream!
Drizzle a bit of the peach syrup from the bottom of the foil over the cream and peaches.

*grins* Delicious indeed! And REALLY simple to make! Very very good with apple slices too, and since apples tend to stay in the markets year-around, you can enjoy them all year.
*looks around* And, if you like a slightly more 'adult' version, put a teaspoon or so of peach brandy over the peaches, or dark rum on the apples. OOooo! Decadently yummy!

Thats a heck of a *coughs* cream sauce you got there bud :P
*grins* It's actually vanilla "soft serve" ice cream from Schwan's delivery. It comes in little pyramid-like "ice cream cone" pouches. You kneed them when removing from the freezer, snip off the top, and squeeze them out into a bowl or cone. You can get chocolate or vanilla flavors.
They don't have much inside, but what is there is VERY tasty! And it makes a wonderful topping for a warm, fruity dessert! *grins*

When backed they have a flavor somewhat akin to baked apples from the touch of cinnamon. If you want more of the peach flavor to come forward, go gently on the cinnamon and favor the honey. *smile*
Hope you enjoy these! They're fantastic with a bit of cream, whipped cream, or ice cream!

I just made it last weekend, and the family LOVED it!
Right now, the rest of our peaches are being saved for my mom's peach cobbler, but any leftover fruit I'll use to make your Peach Bourbon BBQ Chicken next!
