This summer I attended Megaplex in Orlando, Florida. Drunken ramblings of various topics led me to wonder why I love the hobbies I do. Driving home from that weekend the song Cool Kids by Echosmith came on the radio. It struck a cord with me as I reflected on the events. How so many feel they watch events from the sidelines and merely hope to gain the attention so many others seem to have obtained. But it isn't about impressing anyone else - it is about finding joy in what you do and connecting with those that share it too.

The video is a story of a new pup in the fandom trying to find his place.

What I hope to convey is that life is more than watching, it is doing. Take a chance, have faith in people, and you'll be surprised by the whole new world that will find you.
