God I can't put in words, how much I ended up loving this one. At first I intended to commission pacelic with a feral version of Tarkus, but after some talk I ended up really digging this idea of him standing in front of this awesome map. At first the idea was, that he would smash his palm on a map table, scattering and destroying some miniatures, representing the enemy. But pacelic went with this theme, letting Tarkus almost casually rain fire upon it and considering the background of this image, I just ended up loving it so much. It reminds me kinda of the scene from Warcraft III where Archimonde destroyed Dalaran in such a casual manner.
Also... Anthro-Tarkus turned out so awesome. D:
This also fits quite well into his storyline. This might be him, at the pinnacle of his power, when he tried to become a god himself. Raising and leading an army made of hominids, dragons and demons; conquering ancient and powerful kingdoms and in the end, conquering the realm of gods. He was still able to weave powerful magic at this point and change his form into a more suitable Anthro-Version of himself. He was also quite bigheaded and arrogant and thought that no force in the universe could possibly stop him, and that was his downfall. He ended up losing against the gods, not able to take over the place of one. It was a steep and long fall with him losing everything. Without the chance of ever getting it back. Without the chance of ever reaching this amount of power again. His armies turned against him, his former enemies rose from the ashes and hunted him. Threatening him for his very life. This was probably about when he was 750 years old and his failure lead to a huge amount of frustration and fear.

It looks like he's having fun there. Thinking of the current Tarkus, I believe he's calmed down a little. I guess elder dragons are a little more quiet than the others. ;p
The young ones are full of energy. The old ones just want to relax. I guess they all use up their energy while they're young, and full of it? :P
Sure he calmed down. He lost all his power. His failure left some huge scars on him. I guess if he'd have succeeded in becoming a god back then, he would probably be quite different now.
But yes. I guess this was the greatest time of his life. So much fun every day. :D

He had a lot of stuff to do back then and no time for sleeping :3 He just sleeps so much now, because after you did all that funstuff like ruling and conquering and messing with the gods, live without it tends to feel really... boring :D

I think not. It's not a story worth of being in a book. It's pretty much an antagonistic protagonist, that will probably be too hard to make interesting for readers that don't like big bad asshole-dragons.
Also most of his stuff just does not work for a book.

Dang... The size and power of this Dragon were at totally insane levels at this point, the land he looks down on looks nothing more than a fancy train set table.

Yeahh the jewelry is quite Egyptian. I wanted him to have just some subtle accessories, because he just likes his own scales so much. No need for fancy clothes, they would just cover up his fancy scales :)
