Adrenaline rushes and size-changing ability do not go well together, especially when you try to be sneaky. At least knocking out the guards just got easier.
I recently played through Thief (2014) and I really enjoyed it. The story is meh and the ending confusing but the stealth gameplay is fun and the mechanics and gadgets really made me feel like a thief and that's all I wanted. You can still get it cheap in the latest Humble Bundle, if you're interested.

Heh. I was expecting a the arm of another guard to be poking out from under foot somewhere.
Though, who knows what the future will hold for the current guard.

Damn, I should have included something like that X3
Oh well, it could still happen ;P

I can't say much about the old Garrett, since I never managed to play through one of the older games completely. The Garrett from the new game is like I'd imagine a master thief, always keeping to himself, never trusting anyone. The female thief they introduced in the beginning is annoying but she disappears after the tutorial level (which is not that interesting). The story revolves kind of around her but you can easily ignore it and just focus on the thievery ahead, which is what I did. There's really a good stealth game in there, otherwise I wouldn't have spent 16 hours on it (with side quests). Climbing across roofs, breaking into houses, finding secrets and collectibles of which there are quite a lot (even furry porn in painting form, I'm not kidding, I was quite surprised XD).

Give it a few more hundred feet and he'll be able to steal whole banks and buildings! Not too stealthy, but still profitable!
Thanks! Feel free to use it if you want.
And if he were to grow even bigger; i'm sure he could find some wealthier cities to nab. it's pretty easy to shake someone down if you're able to grip their entire civilization in your palm after all!

Hopefully the guard will leave before the barrel gives in ;P
Thank you <3
Thank you <3
I don't mean to be gross but you are perfectly situated to rip a huge fart that would start a comic file... be good macro and try to hold it in!
I'll try to hold it, even though it would be fun, some other guards might come in running X3
Yeah but it would be a riot to see it happen then everyone would eyeball you and you can just say... "it wasn't me..."
Certainly it was not you evil it was.. .the dog?
(do it for the lols!)
(do it for the lols!)
Thanks ;P
Well I wasn't that big when I entered the room but then an adrenaline rush came and well...things happened ;P

That barrel ain't got a chance! lol I wouldn't mind taking that guard's shirt! X3 Nice work as always!
Lots of people are focused on that barrel, I wonder why? ;P
Thanks X3
Thanks X3
Yeah, that one looked pretty interesting too and I love Goblins. I'll give it a try when I find it cheap I guess.
Oh and by the way - one of the silent kills is to grab the guy from behind and hold your foot over his face ;)
Yeah, it's just this guard and I really wanted to draw the attention from his glorious moustache away, that's why I made the room so big, to distract the eye a little.
That stealth skill must be absolutely amazing if he could fit in there... wait a minute, how in the world DID he get in there?
Anyway he's one hell of a cute dude! That skintight suit looks so wonderfully cute too!

He was normal sized first when he entered the room. However an adrenalin rush kind of triggered his growth ability and that got him in this awkward situation.
So how does he get out of this sticky situatoin?
Either by calming down, so he can concentrate, providing that the guard will actually leave the room or the direct and more destructive route through the building.
Seeing this image again, a few questions spring to mind.
In what other instances has growth caused his cover to almost be blown?
What was he after?
How silly is this guard?
It's a great image, and as always, I look forward to more hijinx with you being your Renaman self!

Thank you very much and there sure will be more hijinx X3
Regarding your questions, of course there are other instances and also those where his cover actually was blown. Escaping across roofs for example is a pretty dumb idea after a growth spurt. He's just after valuables in this case, standard thievery and that guard is very silly, probably drunk ;P

Der knuffigste Dieb überhaupt XD den würde ich gerne bei mir auf frischer Tat erwischen XD
Okay, I don't often see something that's hot AND makes me laugh, but you've done it. X3 I know talented people can hide up on the ceiling, but . . . you usually don't hide on the wall and floor at the same time!
(Side note: "Oh god, there's a giant paw crushing me . . . probably just my imagination..." http://i.imgur.com/TfkWq.jpg)

I basically became the room! ;P
Thank you very much though, glad to hear that you enjoy it like that X3

Have you tried the first Thief of the series? That game was also excellent back in that time and it's still a good game today, with recent patches and HD textures. You should give it a try too.
I've played the first Thief back in the day when it was still relevant but I never finished it.
Wow, yeah, I'm...actually kinda surprised you made it through the reboot. I...I just couldn't man. Even Thief: Deadly Shadows was at least the final chapter of an awesome trilogy, bugs and consoleization all. The reboot was just soulless, and I just lost interest, which made me Very Sad. The whole deal with them shanking Stephen Russell as the voice actor for no friggin' good reason really blew too, but...now what I see what they actually made, I'm really glad he didn't voice it. It just said it all when they had a Thief level making contest -- based on making stuff for the better, open-source successor, The Dark Mod. That...that just said it all.
Anyway, I didn't meant to rant when it's really not warranted, but the Thief series are *my* special personal games. You definitely need to look into The Dark Mod. :)
Also don't mean to make what should be space for art reviews into a political blah blah rant. The picture's very good! :) You...you definitely should let the weesaurs do the thieving, you...kinda have an issue with stealth there, buddy. :) Goin' to the bear pits t'marrah?

I never really had a big connection to the old Thief games. I've played the first back in the day multiple times but I wasn't good enough or something, since I never played through it. Deadly Shadows I've played quite a bit but also never finished it. I had no attachment to Garrett or anything really about the series, so I couldn't be disappointed by anything the new Thief did with the main character. I didn't care much about the story and just focused on the thievery itself, which is where I had the most fun. The stealth mechanics were good, the swoop mechanic is a great addition in my opinion and there are always multiple ways to get to your goal. Also traversing the town across the roofs and finding lots of different ways, hidden things and windows to climb in was fun too. I just have a completely different point of view on the game series and therefor I was able to get some enjoyment out of it.
I might have an issue with stealth but I just love wearing that tight leather outfit, though having a weesaurus doing the thieving might be more profitable, however grabbing some bigger loot might proof difficult for you ;P

I guess it is an unfortunately side-effect to get too attached to a particular franchise (e.g. "OMG they ruined Star Wars"). I guess the Thief series wasn't the only game I was like that with. I remember really enjoying, and getting personally involved in the Wing Commander II series way back in the day. Weesaur story wee'er, it was you flying spaceships against "evil" anthro tigers, but they weren't even on my radar -- the main storyline had a dickhead your character always hated finally showing his true traitorous colors, and kidnapping your friggin' girlfriend. Eventually you rescue her, and at the end of the main storyline you of course have the one-on-one dogfight with the prick, and when you win, he ejects, and his capsule's right in your gun sights...and your girl is all like "No, you can't kill him, he has to face justice!" So you spare him, and guess what? :) The prick escapes again, and you hunt him down again, and...man I never felt so good about killing a PC game character as I did when I finally killed that asshole. :) Oh, but what killed that series for me? Wing Commander III. The other cool part is that all during WC2, you had a tiger-race pilot as your wingman, because you were both considered loyalty-suspect. Man, he was my best friggin' buddy through the whole WC2 series.
...the writers chose to magically make him a long-term traitor in Wing Commander III, and I just literally walked away.
I was like...no fucking way. I *knew* this guy. He was my best friend in the series. There is no...damn...way...he was a traitor. That game series was over for me.
Heh, it actually wasn't as bad for the Thief series. I *knew* the game would not, and could not, be the same. I mean, now people don't even joke about the "consoleization" of games anymore, it's just a known fact, so I wasn't even gonna care that it'd be easy, and I'm more than over the "meh, I'm a PC gamer, we don't use controllers" mental issue, and...God help 'em, I know they tried to at least honor the source material (in fact, I loved how Basso and Geneviere were translated in this reboot universe), but...it was just...not a good game. I bought it for the PS3, and I even pirated the PC version, and it...it just wasn't there. I had played "Dishonored" the year or so before, and it was a very, very Thief-y game (and even had a great homage in it), and I thought "Dishonored" was worth a playthrough. Not a replay, but I thought it was a better game than the new Thief...my summation of Dishonored at the time was that it was enjoyable but very easy...like "Thief Jr."
So I dunno. I really tried to like Thief, but...I think it's gonna be different for me than Deadly Shadows was. I originally pbbbbt'ed at it, but then came back and the story is what shined through. Now I just say Thief III just has "technical issues" and suffers from "a mild case of console-itis." :)
Anyway, maybe from this pointless rant you'll give "Dishonored" and "The Dark Mod" a try, 'cause I'd be interested to see what you think of "Dishonored" especially.
And yeah, maybe weesaurs are better at infiltration and spying, 'cause them coins be titanic! :)

I've played Dishonered and the Brigmore Witches DLC and I loved both. The Blink ability made it more easy than it should though. I really like the ability but it gets way too powerful. The stealth is good but it is more combat oriented than a Thief game, which is fine for this game, since you play as an assassin. When I played through Dishonored, I've played it like every stealth game, so I've tried to be a shadow. Never get detected and only knock out people if I have to. I ended up using almost none of the gadgets or abilities, since most of them favour combat.
"Ghosting" as it's called. I think the term actually originated in the Thief community. :) Myself, I do love sneaking around, of course, but I like to play it what I consider sensibly -- knock out and hide all threats. I like to have every single person in the hall sleeping in a pile in the corner so I can loot at my leisure. :)
Wellllllllll maybe I'll try giving Thief 2014 another try one day. It's been forever since I did a Thief rotation...been sucked into Minecraft and Elite: Dangerous too much recently.

I'm gonna write down a silly comment because I can :3.
The all agile Taorenamon, Sprite o3o. Of quite big size now in a situation that's a bit tight, he tries to do as less sound as possible to sneaks around from the guards that comes in and goes out o3o. With a black costume that mixes well with the shadows, none will be able to notice about such thief sneaking around! But the footwear! No problemo, Sprite's solution to this problem is simple, it's to wear none o3o (It anyways takes a while to create boots or any sort of shoes for those sizes, just likes gloves o3o). And there, with all his skills and agility, he will be able to be the best thief you've ever seen in your entire life! o3o
Also because everyone somehow notices about the barrel that is actually underfoot (Ohmai paws, dem paws, Idunno O3o), I'll say something silly for this too! (Why Owo). I'm actually in the barrel, taking notes about how Sprite does this "Job" welll, and the holes help me see each of his actions to do and to don'ts! But his footpaws are covering the small holes I did from the inside, so the only thing I see is this warm white texture a few times, sometimes cleaner and other moments less o3o.

Well, I sure won't be the best thief you've ever seen because you'll never actually see me ;D
Also be careful in that barrel, you'll never know if it might give in ;P
Thanks for the silly comment though <3

But then you're the biggest thief in a way O3o...
And don't beginners learn by understanding risks and the worst places to be in possible? O3o
You're welcome, Sprite! :3c

But at least he rocks the greatest moustache amongst all of them ;D
Yay! Private Sammlung der immer-pawsie-knuddeln-wollenden Ottyfluffs
Oh dearest god I just found this, its so adorable XD How did you get in there? XD
I wasn't that big when I got in there but things happened and the situation got awkward pretty fast X3
Make sure you hold your breath, least the guard will think a window is open x3
You look so cute though, so big and so worried xD

I really like Thief as a game, this picture even more so :3 He looks so unbelievably cute, despite his size!
Haha! XD I love this! The macro concept mixed with the thieving is a very unique combo that still makes me smile. Also, I like that leather outfit too.
It was pretty fun combining these two things and leather outfits are always nice X3
