you should do a progression thing and show me sometime, or just upload it. or facebook it. i'd love to see how you render out these fur textures

As always shading and detail is spot on, but the ear placement is just a bit off
I love traditional media, even if this is unfinished it is gorgeous - especially the eyes and the feathering around them!
