Fred tends to keep his hair tied back, even when paying a wild rock show. It's a functional preference as well as a stylistic one. However, on an evening when he doesn't have a show to play, he'll strip down to his undies and toss the hair tie aside. That's when he brings out his headphones and jam out with some air bass to his favorite tunes in a manner that's completely different from his usual stage persona. In a jam like that there's no real worry for accuracy in rhythm and pitch, all that matters is that you let yourself move however your body feels like it should to the music. He often found himself being much more playful with his movements, and he'd look out at an imaginary crowd and give 'the look' to any girl or guy that caught his fancy. He started to enjoy these fantasy jams just as much as his real ones with friends and band-mates. Though while he was allowed to 'let it rip' in those communal jams more than a rock show, it was during his Fantasy Jam that he literally, and figuratively, let his hair down.
