I still don't have a fitting name for him >.<

In the 90's, the 2090's, almost 50 years after these fuzzy (& borderline sex addicted X3) intellectual beings were successfully created, and after the humans kept declining into stupidity, poisoning themselves with toxic food, and blew themselves away with worldwide profitable "blindly patriotic" wars, just mostly these survived to go on living life..
.

Nah, I made that up :P, but you never know..

"Wait, what?"
Well his camera happy friend spotted him in the city. X3
Some later pic will show who it is, the said friends activities will then make more sense ;)
(Though his friends would prefer more to see pics of the big pair in his pants)... err bad pun.. XD
*cough*

Yes, I made the background in 3DSMAX (extended demo version X3), I could have detailed it more, but it was just for practice and so not to forget how to.
Modified basic shapes, like extrude, taper, copy, etc.
The trees were built in though, I however modified them to look more realistic and a generic city photo was used for the skyline that's barely visible(and blurry).
Texture mapping in it is a pain in the ass though. Then took an eternity to render with full lighting effects, a whole night. x_x
Heh, "Easter eggs", though one is covered up by a traffic pole. Its a directions sign that says turn left to get to the hospital, even though its obviously straight ahead. XD
Please comment. :3

damn yu did an awsome job the back ground is quit complex/realistic but now too realistic for you drawing and your drawin looks quite cute ^__^
The background is very complex and pretty, and the foxie is very cute!
Name? How about Sparky?

Wow, that looks really cool actually, especially for what you were trying to do for it.. It's way improved over the first previews you had, and the art itself looks really cool on it :3 A bit of a difference in styles, sure, but you did a good job setting the lighting on the characters and everything else, so I really like it
Also, I think he looks just as cute and cool with the clothes -on- XD I like that costume design a lot :3

Thanks, but nah XD
I need to figure out something sharp sounding but fitting for a fox.

fantastic artwork *meows* i love it .... you looks so wonderful and extreme cute =^~^=
WOW!!! That's an amazing picture! =D Excellent work on the background, and the charrie looks really nice too n_n
(Hehe, next time ya go to make traffic signals, come to me, I know a shit-ton about them and can help ya model them more realistically, since I know all the designs of modern signal companies ^^; )

Yea, I remember on DA. XD
I might finish fixing up the background some later day, I do know the lights are kinda bland, though I want a lot of the stuff kept simple, since advanced things do often end up being ironically simplistic but sleek looking.

excellent use of 2 & 3D together
Can i see a bunny in the far far far distance? Right above the white car?
How about Ripley as a name?

Heh, the background characters were actually in the 3D field, basically like life sized panels, so they show in reflections and cast shadows.
And yea, the rabbit is up on the parking lot barrier, to keep out of reach from all the hungry predators..Kidding X3 , he's just goofing off.

Heh, I'm not sure if you're just joking, but the term "Easter eggs" refers to little jokes and oddities hidden within things like books, movies and video games.
That must took you ages to do! O_o
I love the fox overall, its so adorable <3
The background is spectacular =3

After a lot of hard work, time, and effort, it has really turned out well. ^ ^
The story that goes along with the picture does seem as if it will go somewhere. Do you have any plans on writing stories?
The background turned out remarkably well, as well as the character designs for your fox, along with the other characters. Truly a fantastic job! ^ ^

What story? o.o
That post apocalyptic joke was just a cliche reference about something that could happen, since popular idiots with power frequently get tons of innocent people killed.
Although it seems people do prefer the random crap I quickly make up over the stuff I put a lot of effort in.. >_>

Auwh, dun be sad, it's just that the stuff you put lots of effort in is so... polished and clean we don't know what to say. At least that's my problem >_<
Great use of 3D and 2D and yes... texture mapping does take time if you don't do it much though I'll have to say actually 'making' textures can take just as long.
I know from experience.
Sexy little foxy by the way, even wit clothes on. :3

I don't know, is the background better, or is the fox...
...
...what kind of question was that, that fox is just beautiful =P
I really like the 3d background of this picture, though. Maybe you can do something like that for some more pictures, just more rough, to get the shadows? Or is it too hard to cut the shadow out of there?

Yea, I'm trying out a simple sun glare through a window 3D BG for the next pic.
But what do you mean by get rid of the shadows? These look really wrong without the shadows.

No, I mean, kind of keep the shadows and replace the background for some of your next pictures, you know? Just some green ground and a lightsource in that 3D program so you get the shadow...
Thanks ^ ^
But seems most people didn't notice it though, I'll try to find out if it's some FA gallery messages glitch or bad timing. XD

wow. fina lversion looks even greater ^^
background is really nice.. doesn't look like made in 3DMAX, as i said. it's very detailed and really nice. you even made some col designe for the buildings!
it's also interesting to see the foxes walking around x3 (and a bunny atacking a car! XD)
congratulatiosn for this pic, it's really amazing =3
just one detail..
looks like you had drawn nude character for so long that you are not used to draw clothes anymore XD
hmm.. *is silly* i couldn't find many easter eggs... x3

The rabbit is on the wall, not the car XD
The clothes look odd on purpose, styles look weird between long periods of time.

ah.. makes more sense now XD
oh, just curious.. do you have separeted drawings in real size of the other characters on this pic?=3

That's pretty neat. Love the background cuz I just love the city.
Neat. And great work, had to look twice before i noticed that the background is no photo. *G* Not that it is so hard to see, just didn't look close enough.
Good job. :)
Why about Sly the Fox? (just have a plushyFox named that way)

In the shrunken down version I thought the backround was real! ^^
That shows how well it's done.

I plan to better finish this one when or if I have the time someday.
There's a lot of detail I didn't have time to do, more extrusion textures, more lighting objects, sleeker traffic objects, custom complex plants, more background buildings rather than the photo, etc.

If I ever saw this in real life, I would fling myself bodily from the car, and hug him.
Name? Lessee, 10-18 years old in appearance, rich - semi-rich, orange fur, black extremities, white chest fur and tail tip, quizzical personality,... Blake Maramian Cole?
Heh, the phonetics of that sounds close to fitting, but the names have to have 'zing' and be sorta futuristic, hard to do x.x;
Ookay... Maybe Black Marmania Furhrarh?
P.S. (Pronounced Fue-Rare!)
P.P.S. Maramian and Marmania are interchangeable.

Who knows, maybe the world will be like that some day. and it hoefully will be. outstanding job well done.
This makes a fine wallpaper, especially since I love the look of this fox. One of your best characters, in my opinion. Of all the images showing him, this would be my second favorite (and very near a draw). Hope you continue to draw more of him, in more ways than one. :3
Danm, really, I love it! I really like your style, it's detailed, but still you have controll over it.
Nice clothing and coloring and shading/lighting! Those things are what I'm really bad at, and yeah, I really like it!
The pose is superb as well.
And another great thing is how you managed to add the charaters into a 3D pic without making it look odd! That's not easy!
So, no bad points? No constructive critique? Nope! Can't think of anyway to improve this :o

awsome detail in this pic (not that there isn't any in any of the other pics but this has overly awsome detail)
wow, this is spectacular. the background is AMAZING...so is the cute fox. bah, forget it's all amazing. X3 very, VERY nice job on this.
