Life in the Stacks technically takes place in the same universe as Ten Thousand Miles Up, but it’s half a galaxy away from those events. You can think of it as a mix of Dark City, the vaults from Fallout, and Portal. Where all the “subjects” are a race of mouse people in subjugation to lion people who have gone so long without ethical oversight, it gets kinda weird.

If you are the test subject, there would not be mild enough shock in your opinion.
Maybe they mean "shocks" as in a very long running marathon of present day "reality" TV.
Half the fun of these storyboards is the reaction to the situation. Once again, priceless.
"Constant Electric Shocks" being the name of a punk band they need to test out a new roadie for :P
plot twist, the beach paradise is in monsoon season, and the person giving the massage is repulsive. as for shocking, zapping others is fun, maybe it's that.
It also sounds like there's a bit of Paranoia the RPG thrown in there!
All I can think of are 80's hairdos, sorry! xD
