Just so nobody thinks I'm dead. I hope to finish this pic very soon. The guy kneeling in front with the rifle is and the awkward one in the back is me.
Anyone (who's not in this picture) who can name the sniper rifle in this pic will earn a lot of respect in my eyes. I'll give you a hint. It's not American.

Tis not an Aussie weapon! But a European one! It's also a .50 cal
Correct! You seem to have a very low opinion of this weapon, care to share? I've obviously never handled one in person.
Oh cool. I thought you knew of some unreliability issues or fatal design flaws! Had me goin' that's for sure.
That's a VKS? So funny how its similar to Lynx, and the Lynx I think its Hungarian I guess.
The VKS is designed from the ground up to be a quiet, compact rifle firing a proprietary .50 caliber round at medium distances. The Lynx is a semi-auto firing full-sized .50 caliber rounds. Both are fairly compact, though.
Good to know. However, the Barrett 50. Cal will always take the upper hand.
The Lynx for me, thank you. The barret is a heavy pig of a weapon, and the Lynx is just as accurate, if not more. And it's lighter. Lighter is nice, believe me.
Serbu makes an ultralight .50 BMG that's about 10lbs and, with a fixed barrel, it could outshoot the Barrett.
A serbu sniper? I'm gonna check that out on video. Thanks for telling me
My mistake! The specific one I had in mind was an Anzio, at "under 10lbs" for the "military only" version, 13lbs for the civilian version, but it's very similar looking to the Serbu, which is only a little heavier. But the Serbu apparently does have a better, and heavier, muzzle brake, and is apparently easier to shoot repeatedly.
The consensus seems to be in favor of fixed barreled designs, at least as far as accuracy is concerned.
Accuracy really does play a big part on a specific sniper rifle.
Dude awesome! As soon as I get my ref done I'm coming to you for art if you would take me as a commissioner.
The two on my belt, or the smg far left? They are all my own design, heh.
