So some 3-4 days ago I was listening to a song and was struck by a SUDDEN BURST OF INSPIRATION, which is not entirely unusual for me, and NEEDED to draw an epic picture of 
defiance's character Nyxis. What is unusual is that it wasn't my character I so suddenly needed to draw. That's never happened before.
Anyway. The lyrics to blame for this one (the song itself, by Pegboard Nerds, is highly techno-dubstep-stuff, so I'll spare you that and just write them here):
Oh the hero comes
I can hear the drums
And the horses run
To the kingdom come
Through the pale moonlight,
Our hearts ignite to the call.
Claim your prize
For a crown of stars
In the name of love
Be the sacrifice
You and I will stand and fight,
Our backs to the wall.

There's also a verse in Russian, which sounds very nice, but I don't speak Russian so I can't write it here. Oh well! Enjoy your gimongous gift. Thanks for being an inspiring artist/author, and for being friends with silly little me. I'll email you the full size pic, if you want, but it's kinda huge (like, um, 16M huge).

Oh my gosh I am loving this AAAAAAAAAAH X____X Everything about it is so freaking gorgeous! You didn't have tooooooooo! From all the crystals and your take on Fate to Nyxis's expression(PERFECT, by the way), you really nailed down the scene!

Anyway. I hope the artistic liberty with the sky and stuff is ok; I figured out how to do rainbow glowies last week, and then my glitter impulse got the best of me XD
My brother actually came in halfway through coloring it, and then came in again when I was finishing up, and he was like "Well that got way more sparkly. TOO sparkly." I reminded him that it's hardly sparkly at all compared to my other stuff, and he was like "I know, those things are eye-stabbing. You need to put epilepsy warnings on your art." And then I kicked him out of my room, because his "constructive criticism" is garbage. GLITTER IS FUN.
Also, may I post this pic to my Facebook so that all my little cousins can see it, go "WHOOAAAA," and think I am awesome? I love it when they do that, makes me feel all fuzzy inside.
