I got grey background - guess it's default color for some computers, while your must be different model. I am not say that we are having some disagreement, I just point out that we had different computer model and that's how FurAffinity admitted to them.
It's the skin setting you can adjust in FA. I believe it's called "slate," and it's the color scheme that you see when you aren't logged in.

Never ever nuke them or else FA will break for months, trying to resolve the mess
Actually all you have to do is wait till you have one of each again, and instead of hitting "nuke", you click select and then delete selected and it fixes that bug :)

When I'm in the living room watching TV with my laptop, the cat ALWAYS tries to get in my lap and winds up on the keyboard. Poor girl doesn't take a hint, either; no matter how much I try to get the point across, she just keeps trying to lay on the computer.

My cat does that to me too sometimes... but she just lays across my keyboard most of the time. X3
I wish my cat was like this, honestly. She's been with us for several years now, but she's always super skittish - it's a challenge to even approach her and pet, much less have her in your lap or something.

I was intially allergic to cats (not so bad now, I just can't rub my hands on them and then touch my face.) and at Kabs house there's 7 of them.
think about it this way... you may find it annoying to deal with so much, but at least you get the luxary of finding it annoying.>.>

That is so the truth! Back when I was in high school and college, every time I sat down on the couch to study with my books in front of me, my cat would come along and lay right on my books. It's like the feline way of saying, "Nothing is more important for you to look at than me."
Now i guess people will understand why when you type replies they see a bunch of random numbers and letters on the finished reply! Haha.
