This is something I've been working on the past few days. I tried an electronic piano for better sound, but the keys were hard to press and so the music came out a bit stiff. Also, for some reason the lower register always drowns out higher notes which affected the sound as well, and I don't know how to change that. Oh well. Enjoy the music, regardless.
Actually, the title is just "Summertime". I only added the dragon part in to make it more "furry". Yes, I am that shameless.

i really love the feel of the whole piece, it feels extremely free and it flows really nicely :)
its almost a shame to hear it was only 2:19 but i think it ended nicely! i think my favorite part about the song was that you kept a lot of it in C Major but you also kept a lot of the same rhythm throughout the piece, accenting the important notes
those sus chords really can define a piece, haha
it just really really flows together very well, it was never over the top whenever you went into a new section, haha. a particular favorite spot of mine was 1:36 the key change and working in the higher range of notes was really a nice change but it didn't take away from the feel of the piece at all!
all in all i'd just have to say nice job :) i just kind of wished that there was more to the piece, it ends a tiny bit abruptly.

I do love me some sus chords....
Funny you should mention liking the static key and rythyms... because thats the exact kind of stuff any collegiate music proffessor would riff me for, lol. My brother teaches music theory, I should know.
When I first started improving on the themes there used to be a lot more, but I cut a lot out because I either didnt like it, or I felt it took away from the main theme too much. Like all artists, I'm never really "done" with a piece.... I just work on it until its good enough. There may be a longer version in the future.
I'm glad you enjoyed the piece!

Ohh, this is a nice song. Bleh...I gotta stop being lazy and start dabbling myself!
I love dabbling. Its my favorite pastime. Right next to procrastinating.
*giggles* Yeah, sadly, my procrastination hobby seems to take up all my time! I can't get any faster at it! :p
this song is pretty amazing.... I gotta admit that. Im not much of a music searcher either, so if most music on FA is this good i need to start looking more... >.<
I have no idea if most of the music on FA is this good but you might regret trying to find out for yourself. :P
Wow, this came out great! Wish we could have found a piano so I could hear you in person, but this is the next best thing. Stellar work, sir :)
I think I just guaranteed the unwatch of every hipster musician on FA.
ermagherd whert ish this? key of C? ermagherd so unoriginal, everything is so murch better in der key of B flat double sharp B|
*unwatch*
*unwatch*
It's a lovely piece, but that's not nice using dragons like that.. I think it's about time I unwatched, like I should have after our little exchange.. Not that you would care at all..
So... I added the word "dragons" in the title of a piano piece that wasn't originally intended to be about dragons, and you think this is disrespectful to dragons enough to warrant unwatching me. After I went way out of my way to try and honestly help you and give you advice when you were going through a personal crisis.
.... Um.
Okay, just ignoring everything else, I want to say that my stories, art, and music will be here for others to enjoy regardless of wether you want to watch me or not. I don't lose out on anything by you choosing not to enjoy the things I freely share.
Last time we talked you were thanking me for taking the time to respond to you and you wanted to get to know me more. I have no idea what has happened to you since then, but it has not been for the better.
The door's still open if you want to talk.

It seems to me, after everything you had told me, and about the attitude you take in your comments, you don't care much about dragons. Other than writing smut about feral dragoness'. But you'll use them to get more people to click your stuff (as you admitted.) Mind you, the word "dragon" wasn't, in fact, why I clicked. I clicked because I like music and wanted to hear what kind of music you would produce. I just find it to be distasteful.
And yeah, I understand that unwatching you is not gonna change anything for you or anyone else. That much is obvious. I'm not sure why you felt the need to bring that up. Do you think I told you I unwatched you to try and hurt you or make you change something. Please, that would be petty. But, as I'm sure you know by now, I tend to wear my mind on my sleeve, so it was simply a departing comment. Of course I should've figured you would turn it around like that.
Yeah, despite how you so "kindly" administered your words of wisdom, the crisis I was going through was more or less brought on by how you mistook my original comment, took it it and attacked me over it. I felt that you that I was a major jackass and was wanting you to understand that intentions were sadly taken askew. I was told by my friends to ignore you, unwatch you back then, and move on. But I still enjoyed your comic. It was really great watching your art talent flourish quite rapidly. And admittedly, I was amused watching you cope with constant harassment from predatory furries. I still do appreciate your advice, and have tried to be positive with my comments in the past. Though, I don't feel any further contact was going to happen.
And thanks for saying I'm worse off now. Jumping to your own conclusions once more. I appreciate that.
I wish you good times now and ahead, and keep doing what you're doing, pal. You have a bright future ahead of you.

I did know you played, good sir. A lovely piece. I hope I should one day be able to produce such warm music, but most of my stuff tends toward minor and discordant chords for that "artsy" feel. I noticed stumbling in places (those stiff keys probably?) but I can't say I could do better with a new piece. Well done.
The stiffness of the keys were giving me a bit of trouble, and the other half of the reason is that I'm improving parts whenever I play so sometimes I get stuck for a second and hesitate.
How dare you play with my interests just for some unsuspecting fool to click on this...
And i pretty much like how well you played that keyboard too.
So on both accounts...
Well done sir. For both screwing with me, and making me feel good with that song.

You can musics! I was never a good person on the keyboard, but I'm half decent with a baritone.
Excellent! I can hear the stiffness but it does not ruin the piece. I love the whole thing. None of my compositions sound this good. I did thing that it ended abruptly, but it is not too terribly abrupt. Are you going to offer the sheet music? I would love to see it. (Not only am I a musician, but I am also a music collector.)
I think I'd love to see a picture of a dragon derping on a keyboard.
This piece just screams long spring/summer-ish route in a Pokémon game! :'D
You are making me think of the original red/blue bicycle theme, haha. Ah, nostalgia!
Ah, this is a great piece. I like the rhythm specifically. Definitely going into favorites. Inspired by anything?
Anyway, I dabble on the piano too (Like 2 hours per day dabble); my style is way different than yours. It may just be because I never took the time to learn to read music or learn any music theory.
Thanks for sharing.

I never really learned any music theory or took time to read music either, actually. My style has mostly been inspired by thematic soundtracks to movies and videogames.
