Bouncer once again. This was taken yesterday as I weighed him. 1,004g. About 200 over his "flying" weight. He's fat bird now, but he needs it to moult. He currently has one red tailfeather growing in and he dropped a few more over the last few days.
Watching a Juvenile bird's colors change to mature feathers is beautiful. I love this guy. I take him all about and spend time with him. He still is quite bouncy at times, but, thankfully, I haven't been footed since when I first got him (*Knocks on wood*)
Also. That's my backyard. zzz.

What..? I swim in there every day back and forth upwards of thirty plus times.
...Wow.
...Wow.
Stunning bird, just had my first ever falconry day experience, cant get over how amazing it is :D
I used to work at a zoo with rescued raptor, and I'm curious: do you hear them make a lot of noise?
One of the red tails was a cranky, grumpy mofo who was always peeping and making raspy croak/ growl sounds. Never the classic scream, just grumbling. There was a male and female pair in another section that were a little chatty but not like Phoenix. He just seemed to always have to make his feelings known.
