Certain words just don't have the proper katakana to make the word sound like the original word, so they just leave it out and it becomes popular language.
Ah ni me are just simple sounds that are in the Japanese language, while a specific kanji for the sound TION/shun makes is not.

Yun-Seong for example, he has his modified style from SC2, but leave hime there for too long and he'll back up and start scratching his head.
Heck, I think Capcom has even had characters fall asleep for IDLE idles. lol
