i still tinker with 3D, my compy ain't really up to it, and takes ages to render (well, that i'm happy with anyway), but i'll think about it...

I must say that is some VERY high quality mapping with those scales fitting oh so seemlessly to the geometry. How long that take?
Well... the rendering takes a good few hours... but the set up is the killer, and i didn't even do the modeling of this one, just getting the lights right, the colours, the reflectivity, doing 30 or so test renders... probably ends up being a few weeks here and there.
Might be old, but its a great render. Love the close up, and the expression, one I'd expect a dragon that size to have. ;)
I really need to buy more ram for my compy so i can re-reder these at a higher setting... i'm still not completely satisfied with it :-P
