the cool wind blows, through his fur
as he gazes happily towards the air.
Watching the leaves flow and sway
dancing in the sweet summer night.
he sways peacefully under the tree.
Time slows down, as it grows silent
And picks back up with a birds chirp.
The world was at ease, no crime nor woe.
He thought to himself, as the coldness picked up,
"my, I wonder how the world will go"
pondering simple curious thoughts
"as a new day is to come soon enough."
Thinking to himself, as he lost,
the feeling in his legs and his tail.
Surely, the fox thought to himself
he had a good long run.
It's time to rest now, no more emotion,
leave behind the happiness and sorrow.
The sickness of death, taking his body.
as his heart begins to slow...
He gazes up, towards the branch holding his rope,
watching the clouds floating away from the moon.
smiling weakly as the darkness slowly creeps into his mind
as he thought to himself
Tomorrow is a new day
It'll be better for all
now that I'll,
be Gone...
the cool wind blows, through his fur.

I always have a hard time understand >w<, but, it is great mommy :3
ish fine <3 poems are meant to be read aloud <3 a singsong with a play on words without a pun
This piece is stupendous, it always gives me pause to see how so much can be conveyed with only a few lines of text.
heee, thank you so much for your kind words <3 though, as the writer, I must ask, what message did you receive? o3o
It affords a sense of peace, what death is often romanticised as. A period of relief and reflection, when all falls away, all made indistinguishable before the end. And done without intense detail is impressive, it allows a stronger connection with the reader.
That is a nice observation I must say *noddles* when I originally wrote this, I was feeling highly depressed, so I poured in the pure essence into the paper, with a bit of a subtle shift of an ending.
I hoped to create a perspective for the reader to allow them to see into the eyes of a suicide attempt on someone else's behalf, why they may do it, what they are thinking at the time...and how meaningless they-themselves feel when in the act...to allow people to get a better understanding, rather then go, "well, he was just some jackass/idiot, how selfish"
but I do enjoy your observation, I'm not saying my ideal of what it means is correct, because poetry is for the meaning, and for the message to the reader...as a writer, my job is done <3, the readers has just begun
knowing that I can help bring insight, expression, meaning, and self-changing experiences in such words, makes me feel I have accomplished my goal <3
thank you for reading and your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed <3

the pleasure was mine, i always say that audience perception outweighs creator intent.
So many emotions come up and the more I think about this, the more emotions appear.
I have to say that this is a beautiful poem that carries a deep meaning. It really is the most touching piece of peotry I've read in a while and reminds me of a long forgotten past.
I'm sorry, I'm not very good at giving the professional kind of feedback but this poem is just amazing.
'I said "What better way to put myself in my place? What better way to get out of this goddamn place?"'

Oh, it's suicide? I took away that the death was more important for others. The method wasn't important because the focus was on what the subject was feeling at the time. Resignation? Peace? It was very calming.
I did like the repetition of the beginning line. That's one of my favorite devices. :]
