Having outgrown the Mystery Machine, the giant Scooby decides to go it alone in the crime-solving business - and with considerable success too.
Many of you probably remember my first picture of Scooby-Doo back in October last year. Around that same time, I also had this daft idea about how Scooby might solve mysteries if he was giant. No tedious conversations with the locals, no flagrant bribery with Scooby Snax, none of Fred's gratuitous Rube Goldberg crap. Just a massive doggy that could step on the bad guys. Cos let's be honest - Scooby is the star of the show.
It would probably be a much shorter show. But I'd still find it entertaining.
This was a total goof for me and I never took it too seriously, hence it was quite a lot of fun. Scooby's pose and anatomy probably isn't quite right, but I was cartooning so I didn't really care. Drawing the rest of the gang was a bit of a challenge, mainly because I had to draw them so tiny on the sheet of paper next to Scoob while still making them recognisable. And where devising the villain was concerned, I just went for the classic cranky old guy in a crap monster suit. Also, lazy gradient background again. Woohoo.
I actually started this picture during my week off work back in January, and it's basically just been waiting for me to add a couple of finishing touches since then. So at last, here it is.
And yes. There will be more Scooby from me in due course.

Heh - not something I'm ever likely to do, I'm afraid. But thanks for your ongoing interest.
Heh - no, I think you misunderstand. When I say "not something I'm ever likely to do, I'm afraid", I don't mean "I'm scared". I mean "not something I'm ever likely to do, I'm sorry to tell you".
Nice twist on the line ^^ And Im rather envious of the villain actually given his position x3
Thanks! And it's certainly a thought-provoking position...
*laughs loudly* Wow! That is awesome. Also, I recognized it while seeing it on the main page as yours. It's still showing up as a notification in the top!
Nice to know my style is recognisable! Thanks.
Also THIS scooby won't be going, "RELP! RAGGY!" anytime soon
Probably not. Shaggy would probably be scared shitless of Scoob though.
This is certainly far more amusing than I should have taken this for XD Fantastic pic RRRex!
Yay Giant Scooby He always will be my favorite cartoon dog. He so cute.
My love for paws came from Tom & Jerry, Scooby-Doo, and there was one other show that I can't remember.
So seeing art like this really means alot to me! x3

It's good that Scooby Doo served justice and not evil. He probably don't need to gang anymore since he can sniff a person who is bad or good. lol Awesome job dude!
Thanks! And yes, I'm sure Scooby would be a fantastic 'Mystery Machine' in his own right...!
I bet every time that he captures a villain, he gets a Scooby snack and with that he grows bigger. I do hope they realized that Scooby doo wouldn't probably fit in the city if he keeps growing and capturing bad guys. I wonder what they put in his Scooby doo snack? XD
That's... for another picture I'm working on.
Woah I guess it right then and so I guess Scooby doo might outgrow the population. I wonder what would Scooby Doo with the people in the city? lol XD I can't wait for the next picture when you draw it out.
I can remember one instance where a particular Scooby Snack did this to him. XD Ah, a huge Scooby is always useful! I like this! :D
Can't say I ever saw that one. I remember an episode of one of the newer series where Shaggy turned into a giant monster. But a giant Scooby?
Yeah, Scooby wasn't big for long; he just grew large and muscular in order to dispose of some villain, I can't remember. XD
I know what you're talking about! It's on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BP1X-R02Jc
Blimey. Someone on the modern Scooby writing team's got a muscle/growth fetish. Blatant.
Lol!
Lol!
That's because he has a big, bouncy, awesome quality to him.
Maybe that's it!! Let's hope he continues to be successful then...!
Heh - well that's a big ask. Animating is very demanding at the best of times, but even more so when it's with a character like Scoob.
Not that I'd ever rule it out though.
Not that I'd ever rule it out though.
Scooby is apparently distantly related to Clifford
Yes. Except Scooby is on the much more badass side of the family tree.
I can never promise anything on the animation front, because it genuinely is so demanding on me to get animations done. It's a very lengthy exercise.
But there certainly will be more Scooby. Possibly more foot shots but certainly some other stuff too.

A hero of my childhood, and still being a hero... Can he still be a hero?
Of course! He can do what he likes with those bad guys. They're bad guys!
I pity and envy the bad guys now xD They pretty much get to have all the fun :P but in the end they get pinned by the hero's paw, of course, I really mean paw
Heh yeah, Scooby doesn't need those other guys anymore. I do wonder, though, if even at that size would he still be afraid of everything? :P
Heh well, I don't mind seeing a more dominant Scooby Doo. It might make him more enjoyable to watch. X3
there was a scene in the newest series where he fights a killer robot dog... '3'
Now that he is giant he is bold.
But is probably super hard to find enough food to he now XD

The gradience on Scooby (the black shades on his body) is really fine RRRex. I also like that sense of accomplishment on his face.
Did you peek into my dreams last night? Because I had a dream like this except I was in under Scooby's paw. :3
No. But if I did I'd just steal the dream in its entirety. I never have dreams like that.
So great! x3 Can't wait to see more macro Scooby! Hopefully Scooby won't completely ignore his little friends~
Ironic, I just found a "Giant Scooby Doo" story on writing.com... though that one was all about choices and went nowhere.
I think these scooby doo drawings are very popular with your audience we hope to see more in the future! Maybe even some of him sitting on people..
That's been a common request, I must say. Wouldn't rule it out though.
I'm glad you went back to Toony stuff! I can't wait to see more Brian, Jake, and Timon stuffs x3
Haven't thought much about Timon lately, but Jake has been playing on my mind and Brian is just never far away anymore.
You're not the first to say so! Heh! Thanks.
i would find having that big sexy paw on top of me as a reward, face first of course~
think about it imagine that amazing paw spread out upon your face and body wiggling those toes and pawpads across your entire body as the tickling sensation just arouses your curiosites
i would absolutely love that

Does sound rather enticing, doesn't it...
they are gonna need a lot of scooby snacks to reward this one.
How will they be able to satisfy Scoobys massive appetite.
That aside, nice picture and old man under foot their is right.
He should go solo and rake in the benefits.

Well, Hanna-Barbera did also have Grape Ape, a 40-foot-tall gorilla who got into fixes (and occasionally solved mysteries) with his friend Beegle Beagle. So it's not like there was a lack of macro on the screen.
Can genuinely say I've never heard of him before. Some nice looking pics on the Google search I just did though.
huh, never would've imagined him as macro admittedly X3
Scooby has more backbone than the gang ever gave him credit for. Great job.
Scooby has more awesome than the rest of the gang too.
It will be funny if Scooby sat on him but this is pretty cool!! Great work!!
I sure would love to be the bad guy In that senario mabey even be a Scooby snack
