This sketch is INCREDIBLY rough in design.
armor references: (most certainly does not have to as detailed as these, as the 'suit' for myself will be based off my own character's energy. (the cyan vines))
armor color: 'red team'
Armor: (red guy) adjust as need to fit my character http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/_.....ergy_Blade.jpg
second image: http://push-start.co.uk/wp-content/.....copy_thumb.jpg
Tail: add similar armor
Wings: create a 'scaffold' along the upper bone/joints to the tip of the last digit that will be the basis for the 'energy armor' for the wings themselves (since wings are a rather delicate part of the anatomy, they would need an entirely different kind of armor than plate armor)
---
not depicted/hard to see from concept:
Wing pieces:
add a small 'blade' to the leading edges (as in flight), or angle pieces at 90degrees or less (frontside/backside faces)
the parts that are on top of the wings are the generators/amplifiers, and the wing tip parts are just the sheild expansion reference points (not sure what else to call them)
Tail pieces:
the 'cloth' pieces serve as an amplifying material for the shield, also part of the underlying design
notes for final ref sheet:
This particular 'suit' uses the energy of it's host to create the shield effects. the origional suit came with micro-fision (or similar) energy pack (what do they use in halo?) but my character has a unique energy, and the suit was re-calibrated to use that instead

I think you only only having shield negotiators on the wing shoulders would do the trick for protecting the wings. That should help you out.
whaa.....? i totally didn't understand that

Well, it is a futuristic armor, yes? Breakthroughs in nanotechnology would have inevitably come about. Nano-filaments of metal armor that are engineered at the molecular level could be the build of the underlying suite (the black that you see b/w each of the hard points on the armor). That way, you have protection without sacrificing too much flexibility and range of motion.
It would also provide the required conductivity for negotiating the shield around the tail.
i hadn't really factored in the underlying fabric/suit, was paying more attention to the plate/armor materials. even though i knew it was there.
