A dragon whose horns grow with age
hour-hour and a half in PS. Another one of my doodles (to me a doodle is something you just make without any kind of planning or idea. So, ok, it's not a sketch, but it was doodled out in the same way :P )
Did it after 12-13 hours of regular website and commission work. Gonna do sketches and more site work today :x

How you and other artists do this in 1-2 hours just confuses the crap out of me... it would take me a WEEK to do this... maybe longer. Is it just experience? Or just knowing how to do things..? *is just dumbfounded*
Yeah, just experience. If you do a lot of tonal studies of still lives and stuff it becomes burned into your memory. You can easily turn cones and spheres and stuff into dragons.
