This little dumbo is very important to me.

She was the breeding rat at the pet store where I used to shop; she produced back to back litters for nearly a year. Sometimes her litters overlapped, and I would see her nursing newborns as well as furry kittens who should have been weaned. She wasn"t provided with extra nutrients and she was very skinny and run-down.

They finally sold her to me.

She settled in quickly. It took her awhile to learn how to use a ladder, and she was reluctant to climb into a hammock. Much to my surprise, she became litter box trained right away. I love her, and she"ll never have to breed again.
