I love the artwork itself, but the shirt looks 2dimensional :| It's because the pattern fails to fold with the shirt itself.

Amazing piece, and I love the magic on his paw! Only problem I see with the piece is that the pattern makes the shirt look really flat and looks like if was just pasted on there real quick; I think if it was switched around and turned differently depending on the area, it would really enhance the entire image. Otherwise, it is still a great illustration!

's been said and said and said throughout the comments, but... well done. And yeah, the shirt is crazy. It shows cloth effects in the lineart, but the texture itself reminds me of this one cartoon short on Nickelodeon years ago where textures like that were stationary, and as the characters moved, it had a weird effect.

got the artistic direction. sometimes you just wanna smack some sense into the client (I'm the artist, darn it, that's why you hired me, so stop telling me what looks good) but in the end, the client is always right. even when they are clearly wrong.
So, moving past that. The pose and angle on the shot are really choice. And as noticed in several places above, the jeans texture is A-MAZ-ING! And i think the detail in the ground gets overlooked in the rest of it--also very nice work.
