Companion to "King of the Crystal Wasteland" Commissioned piece that I am super pleased with. This thing is huge. 24"x30" and deep cradled hardboard. May end up posting some detail pictures later, because you don't get the depth thats in it from this little shot. Anyhow, I freaking loved working on this piece, and need to do more bone work, it always just such a joy and a challenge.

~chuckles "Would have said mondo, but mondo isnt good enough for this picture, so tubular is better suited mate."
Images like this always conjure a haunting story for me. Your work is very inspiring.
I like how you've imagined the clavicle/sternum as one fused structure. That makes a lot of sense. The rest of the skeleton is beautifully true-to-life, and of course the clavicle is pure fantasy, which I think you've pulled off very convincingly.
Thanks so much! Put a ton of research into this one, because trying to figure out how to merge those two critters, even just in fantasy was hard!!
It shows! The taur part looks like a canine, and the avian part looks like a bird, but the clavicle is entirely up to the artist since such a creature doesn't exist in reality!
Sorry, your art brings out the bio nerd in me
