This piece has a really deep meaning for me. It has always been my dream to be an armor-smith. There is something about working iron and steel into something, to bend metal to my will. To have something tangible, something i can hold and use for the work i have done. I do a bad job of explaining it, but what it come down to is: Smithing is where my soul is. I am only really truly me when I am working metal.
As for the art part of this piece.... I am proud as fuck at how this turned out!!!!! =^.^=

=^.^= thank you! im really proud of how the shading came out, lol took me several hours.
I'm really digging the lighting! The shading is downright amazing - it reminds me of old high-quality animation cels. ^^

awwww I am sooo jealous, I've been trying to get an apprenticeship with a smith i know but it would require a ton of money to get started and to move half a state away, lol. but i am glad you like the pic!!! =^.^=
Aye.. Its hard and he says it. But its fun. I plan to move out there with him at some point, and try the class myself. in our story-line stuff he is the forger of my weapons. *Smiles*

!!!! THATS AWESOME! Sadly, I dont remember very much. After my father passed, I haven't really had anyone to speak to. But the couple of times I went back home, I picked it up very quickly again. =^.^=
