Yankee Doodle went to town
Riding on a pony,
stuck a feather in his hat
and called it macaroni!
"..."
"Steady, men. Fix bayonets! Fire at will!"
"Sir, yes sir!"
"Get back here you lobster boys! Come and get some more, english bastards!"
"Yeah, run and hide under your mommy's skirts, ya limey buggers, we'll get you there anyway you cowards!"
A couple of days and few hours of painting with pens and crayons, awww bugger my fingers are cold.
Cheers, folks

I've loose 'lotsa soft tip pens then.

Probably that's the only thing I can draw properly.
Come on, Egor, not only that - the characters look recognizable as species they're supposed to be, the explosions and gunshots don't look bad, not to mention the smoke in the area. I can imagine such an amount of burnt gun powder would cause a pollution certain activists would complain about.
But what about the shadows? Its always seems so intricate to me.
You mean shading, right?
An ex-friend on dA taught me, that the best way to shade is to imagine a light source at the character - shading goes, where the light doesn't reach. Since you draw traditionally, it can be achieved by standard pencil.
