"Werewolves have been spotted beachcombing. Not unlike other animals they have discovered the richness and ease of accessibility of sealife at the ocean shores. Werewolves will bring young offspring to partake in clam digging using the time to build family bonds and relax. Young werewolves will learn how to supplement their diets in lean times as well as engage in play with their parents."
My contribution to the 2014 Werewolf Calendar features, once again, water. There is nothing more beautifully frustrating to paint than water and it's myriad of special effects. It takes a lot of careful observations from photos and life and tedious trial and error before something finally clicks and I can feel how to paint the water. It's time consuming and I am never full satisfied with the result, but the joy of painting is there nevertheless.
I have been honored by composer foxamoore with an accompanying musical piece. It is thrilling and powerful. Listen as this stalking were looks up after having just missed a bird. Are you next? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11801484/
Orders are OPEN NOW. http://www.werewolfcalendar.com/ Get them early in time for the holidays. Thank you for supporting the project!

Prints are not yet available, however I do have prints for previous werewolf pieces on my Etsy page: https://www.etsy.com/shop/EtherealS.....f=pr_shop_more

This is definitely one of the best works I've seen from you. The honour truly was mine. :) *amazing* work!
for a brief second? It's been a minute and a half and I'm still not breathing!
Wonderful, wonderful water textures you've achieved. I can practically smell the ocean when I look at this piece, and feel that dynamic moment when there's still a bit of sun left before a storm.
If I could accomplish something half as good as this is, my life would feel so complete. Oh my god this is insane. Thank you for sharing your masterful talent!
OMG, this is soooo beautiful. *_________*
The pose, the fur, the water. ;w;
Great work.

O_O WOW. This is such an amazing work, that I don't know how to describe its beauty...
Amazing work! I love the look of the wet fur and those gorgeous eyes.
Seriously gorgeous! Water may be difficult, but you pulled it off amazingly well in my opinion. I honestly couldn't pick out any difference between this and an actual shoreline.
And I love how you did the fur, especially the wet paws. Looks amazingly realistic! And the eyes look extremely realistic too, just agh, everything about this looks magnificent! Wonderful work

which is why I recognized it like, omg! it's finished! jawdropping as per-always. someday I think I'm just going to open a ton of references and try just painting something maybe 1/50 as nice as this!

I won't since the calendar is still for sale then. Afterwards, yep! Thank you.
I'd like to have a print of this to hang on my wall. When will prints be available?
Wonderful work. I remember seeing the WIP of this a long time ago on a livestream, I think. Really turned out fantastically. :)
Those paws! OMG!
The detail, wet fur, everything in this piece is amazing!

oh, the water and seafoam. i really love you for that. actually i always hated that and admired everone who could draw those things so well. month ago i spent one week by the sea, studying sea water and i discovered how many joy it brings to paint the foam and water. thumbs up your you c:
This anatomy and gradation of detail and shape is just so great.
Plus, if there's a fetish for showing off cool hand designs, then I totally have that.

Besides all of the obvious things to love on this piece, I absolutely -adore- the little bits of skin you can see between the fingers/toes. Phenomenal detail.
this has to be the most beautifully painted water ive ever seen. the lighting and texture of the foam just dazzles me and if it weren't for the subject being a werewolf I may have thought this was a photo! hell, I still might!
very gorgeous work! I could ramble for a while but I think I should stop here.. just.. oh my lord what a wondrous piece

It's pictures like this that keep me motivated and determined to continue working on improving my art. Amazing and so inspiring
oh wow! this new one is stunning. unsure if it was for sale when i met you at rainfurrest this year, but i would have snatched it up also. Really let my wallet go that year. making up for the missed year before i guess. spent about $600 on art for my walls. Planning to get the two works i bought from you matted. The beach coyote, and the water wolf ( who quickxyk claimed he teases you because it looks like a coyote ). Hmm maybe that's why i love this one so much too.. water and canine? Grew up on beach front property so i guess water is in my soul. Sometimes i need to just get out to the beach for a few hours and do nothing.
Your work here has achieved the pinnacle of what true art is supposed to achieve -- affecting the viewer, not just as an accurate representation, but as something that the viewer can βconnectβ with.
I see the intelligence in that face β¦ and maybe, just maybe, a βpersonalityβ all of which makes me long to connect with the being behind that face.
Utterly beautiful work.

What should I say now, that isnΒ΄t allready said here? Sigh! Beautiful... Fave...
The Magnificence of this piece cannot be expressed in mere words. Absolutely breathtaking beautiful and extraordinary detail.
Love the texture in the tail, natural tails (and even domestic) mat a lot more than is illustrated.
Gorgeous work. That kind of scenes make art totally word justified.
Combine storm, light of sun on water, etc... All fantastic combination's for the pleasure of eyes.
And in more, I love water effect on furs.

Viewing this, I feel like I'm a young seagull that just took off to get away from the curious werewolf.
How much time do you take for doing SUCH A BADASS ARTWORK???
Your skills are incredible and awesome!
