Bit isn't very well shown (no pull on the lips). My reference wasn't terribly clear and I don't know enough about bridles to invent my own :P There are probably a lot of issues with the tack.

I ride horses on the weekends so I am very familiar with tack designs. You are actually able to see a bit of the bit even if it isn't pulling on the lips. Sorry, critiquing things like tack designs is a bad habit of mine, I also spend a lot of time fussing around with depicting tack in either drawing or actually making tack for my sculptures so I am really familiar with how it is depicted.
I am out in Bastrop, which is about half an hour east of Austin. I have been in the Austin area since 2000, it is a great city to live in, Texas summer heat and all.

I appreciate the feedback. My mom rides dressage and maybe I should be more sensitive to it, haha! She did help me with the horse a little bit. But thank you for the critique, I'll be more aware of it for any future horse drawings.

I love this! Haven't seen much RDR fanart. And I recently moved to Texas as well! I'm a bit north of Houston, and loving it so far.
Yeah I haven't seen much RDR either! Where'd you move from? I drove from Seattle.. That was a trip.
Northeast Ohio. I actually flew out since I don't have a car right now, so it was a 5 hour trip for me. Just packed all my necessities and boxed up everything else to be shipped out by my family over time.
