[Personal] - New Innocence
My characters, Lance and Avelynne, sharing a moment overlooking their land. I miss these two.
I try to give my characters flaws and imperfections to make them relatable to myself. However, Ave and Lance are a couple of my exceptions. They are not flawed in any way. They're considered attractive among their peers, they're kind, humble, happy, they never fight with each other or anyone else. My perfect couple. I'm not sure how long I can keep them this way, but I love them dearly, so, so far so good.

Let them have their joys.. it's nice to know that something like that is possible.
I also have one or two characters that I really can't find too much flaw in, and I love them very much.
This is a beautiful pic, and a beautiful pair. <3 I especially love the colors on the male character. :)

Normally, I'd object (especially since the description reads like something out of 1984 mixed with The Stepford Wives) but I'll let this one slide since they just seem so happy together and it's really beautiful seeing them.
Object all you want! They're my characters and were made for me, not you. :P
I dunno, I guess I just like flawed characters a lot. I'm generally quite self-conscious about giving my characters flaws and I try to give them a piece of my personality in them, especially elements that I would like to change about myself. So they often end up either blase/cynical/stuck-up, impulsive/stubborn/provocative, shy/awkward/submissive and such. (In fact, I made three characters with those three sets of personality traits and made them roommates. And one of them is my fursona. I'm thinking I should write some fiction about them.)
Though I wonder if I focus too much on flaws and not enough on positive attributes. Because the first one is also rational, the second one is also confident, and the third one is also friendly. But I don't focus on that as much.

Well, I love flawed characters and I used to torture my characters, mostly emotionally, so I say never enough flaws!
I guess I'm generally quite self-conscious about it, and I'm quite concerned about making Gary-Stu characters.
Though I've read enough dystopian science fiction to know that there's always something suspicious and creepy about perfection, often involving some ulterior motive.

Idk, you've been quiet lately. :P Will more Ave pull you out of the shadows?
There's nothing wrong with having a perfect couple among your characters. It may not be the most realistic of the lot, but at the end of the day, they represent an ideal that is worth striving for. And it's a good thing to remind yourself of your goals an ideals. The world would be a boring place without dreams.
they are so adorable. XD looks like they are having fun.
