My husband Segremores bought me a hunchback model for battletech a week ago, and while it was a hunchback, it wasn't as cool as the Mechwarrior Online hunchback. So I decided to make my own.
And Hooooly sheeeet.... this was a pain in the ass. It's almost 80-90% glued and sanded plastic card and brass pins. The painting came out okay considering there wasn't as much detail as there would be on a moulded mech. I used a thin micron pen to make panel lines.
But now it's done. Watch it get headshot within 3 turns. >>

Yes indeedy! When I get the time, that is. I'm a huge fan of MWO.
ahh MWO need to play that some more though hopefully I don't get matches with a billion poptart mechs
I kinda figure poptart mechs are kind of like the platacats of old. They'll fall by the wayside when the new hottness comes along, or PGI does something to negate the advantage.
I hope so but eh they are fun to get ahold of and then shred apart with 5 srm 6 packs
Thank you very much! :3 Husband and I are hoping to get back into it.
They look very similar! But the loadouts are quite different. The Thor though is my favorite clan mech. 83
Ahhh, nice. I was, personally, usually stuck between the Vulture or the Bushwacker. Did pretty decent in a Raven, too, or whichever variant lets you equip Ballistics back in the Mechwarrior games.
Thanks! :) It's a little brighter than in MWO, but I'm still quite happy with it. :)
That's some really nice sculpting and painting work there! You've improved a lot from those early Jade Falcon days. :D
(Love the basing as well, very busy but that works in favour of emphasising the scale)

Reminds me of the model paintings I did before when I was into Warhammer 40k.
Really should pick it up again, ended up in the top 3 places in 10 different painting
competitions when I was younger. ^^

This reminds me that Twile and I need to get back into playing MWO!
Jeeezus that looks like it took some work. Very well done though! Hunchies have always been my favorite, so much punch in such a small package!
Ah, very cool looking mech. Brings me back to when I used to play MW2/3 and MechCommander... wow I am old. XD
My favorite mech is still the Bushwhacker though. ^__^

awesome, I need to build a MW4 hunchback sometime... maybe after I finish the Atlas, that thing is huge
Actually the Hunchback is pretty damn good in MWO. :) Played in the Beta. Fuggin' Gauss Rifles ruin everything. Have you seen the new Prototype Hunchback miniature for the boardgame? Leaner, meaner, still packing anasty punch...and a torso-mounted cockpit. >:D
I may not play the game, but I can appreciate just how much work went into making that :v Nice!
