Guess who I still think is cute!
I chose Scratch as my subject for Draw A Bird Day 2013! And I swear, if anybody tells me "That's not a bird, that's a robot!" then go eat a bucket of clay!
Actually, I decided to take a trip down memory lane and revisited Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, seeing as how I watched it every morning back when I was a little chick covered in puffy speckled down. And what started off as playing it on my second monitor as background noise while I draw ended up with me intently re-watching every episode over again. Every. Single. One.
If you haven't seen it for yourself already, do so. Without the unquestioning naivety of youth, we can finally see it for what it is, that being one of the most bizarre shows to have ever found its way on television. There won't be a second you're not asking "why," and the amount of absurdity, laziness, and failure of execution that went into making it amounts to a show that's utterly fascinating to watch for all the wrong reasons. If you ever find yourself lamenting the overabundance of logic in Adventure Time, grab your mental-morning-after pills and watch a couple episodes of AoStH, because you're in for one hell of a mindfuck.
This isn't the last time I'm drawing you, Scratch... ;)

It'd be bad if you didn't! His laugh is forever engraved into all our memories. X3
Exactly How much popularity dose Scratch fit into the famdom so far!?
He's actually somewhat popular! Plenty of art for him last time I checked.
He was funny back in them days with that robot beside him it was good best sonic cartoon i watched
yea i had the sonic video of them i only had two at the time but it was good
Oh wow, I remember those VHS tapes that only had two or three episodes on 'em. I got a bunch for the Super Mario Bros. Super Show from those Scholastic book sales they did in elementary school. =P
you know the ironic thing is that i had only one video of the super mario video on the VHS back then i used to record alot of cartoons even the best
ones that was on
ones that was on
ah, memories... AoStH was a guilty pleasure to watch while waiting for SatAM every Saturday morning :3 great work~
That text could easily be replaced with "Eeeeeeyyyy"
I love it. You did a great job overall! Perfect representation! Beaks are so hard to draw and I think you nailed it perfectly with this one!
This is quite fetching, and as a fellow scratch fan, i am glad this wont be the last~
Scratch was awesome. I haven't seen that show is forever.

scratch is a robotic bird, so he most definitely counts on DAB day, and DOR day too
And now, for some reason, the scene where he somehow blew his hand up into a lifelike replica of an anthro female that ensnare the ever-lustful Sonic enters my mind...
Thanks a lot, Dracovar. You reminded me just how much of a headtrip this silly show was. That means for you a...

Long John Baldry's Robotnik is another voice I'll never forget, so of course I read that in his voice. ^^
Despite how much it hurt my brain, I had so much fun re-watching it, and I'll gladly watch it again. =) Also, great to hear from you again! I was worried you forgot about the birdy. ^^

I wish I could fav this over and over again.
Without looking like a crazy person, I mean.

AAAAAAAAWWWW YEEEEEEEEEEEEES
I fucking love Scratch, I know people don't like that Sonic show because it's goofy as hell, but I loved Scratch and Grounder! They had a real Lenny and George vibe going on but less Great Depression and more Three Stooges minus one.
Then again the way Sonic screwed with their heads all the time he might as well make up the third Stooge XD but yeah I fucking love Scratch, he's just adorable as fuck.
I'm so writing a story about him in future...it won't be naughty however, sadly buuuuuuuuuut if YOU would like me to write one at all good sir :3

Scratch and Grounder were AWESOME. Especially to an eight-year-old kid whose first game system was a Genesis.
What I loved about that show was Scratch's laugh. Sometimes Grounder even had his own version.
Okay, this is a very accurate Scratch here, being his usual self.
While AoStH was not really my childhood, (very late into my childhood,) this scene brings up the nostalgic memories of him and Grounder, along with Dr. Rrrrrobotnik.
Excellent job on this piece.

I used to watch this show on an on-and-off bases and felt divided; I hated the show and yet it was a good way to get my mind off of going to Junior High (which I hated WAY MORE.) However as an adult I can watch AoStH in small doses and still find it tolerable.
Go figure right?
Go figure right?
Hey guess what guys? Besides being Scratch's hugest fan, I can DO his voice! Also Grounder's as well. :)
"You... You... YOU NINCOMBOT!!!"
I would say it brings back childhood memories, if it wasn't for
the fact that i only had access to the inferior danish version of AoStH
Fortunately i managed to track down and watch the whole original version
