He's a soldier-for-hire who lives in the desert!
When it comes to operations that must be completed under arid conditions (for whatever reason), he's the guy to call.

That reminds me of Paper Mario. I'd expect to see him before Dry Dry Outpost. :D
yeah, you're right lol. I love his expression! and just him overall! Great work! ^_^
You can pay him with booze! or XXL clothing, so long as it's cargo pants and sleeveless shirts.
He reminds me of Coop from Megus XLR. And Junko (or Chunko or w/e his name is) from Storm Hawks...and someone else whos name I can't remember...Still a good pic though =3
*laughs* Love hoe he has that "Every Man's" Belly hanging from under his shirt. Great character and great job.
What first caught my eye was how well executed the background is, and that its lightness contrasts nicely with the darker palette used for the character and makes the scene look brighter and warmer. Didn't notice this at first, but the reflection of his hands on the whisky (?) flask is a neat effect, as is it's shiny, metallic surface. Shading and lighting seems to be carefully observed, too, matching the background. I have to ask, how do you do that? Do you start off with semi-opaque brushes and build up the shading/lighting gradually? Or change your colours often while using a completely opaque brush? The smoothness reminds me of oil paints, and it's neat just to look at.
Yet another charming and original character. You're great at finding plenty of appropriate clothes and accessories to emphasise their personality and occupation; probably said that before. I want your brain, and all the skills contained within! >O

Thank you for your compliments! ...My reply's late again.
As for the shading and lighting, in the case of this picture it was a combination of the two methods you mentioned, if I remember correctly. So you were actually right on both counts! Your ability to read into a picture and find the techniques...you've got an artist's eye for sure.
