(Teemon narrates)
So, I just meet Travis only to save him moments later. In doing so, I digivolved and took on my Rookie form. You know what? I like digivolving. I think I can live with this. Then again, do I have a choice?
Travis asks me, “Do you know exactly why I am here?”
I tell him, “All I know is that you were chosen to save the Western Hemisphere of the Digiworld. Evil forces have tried before on the Eastern Hemisphere, but failed.”
He replies, “You’d think that they’d learned not to mess with … What you called them? Oh yeah, you said the Divine Powers.”
I reply, “Apparently, it’s a different evil.”
“Oh,” goes Travis. He looks at his belt loop and asks, “Can you tell me what this thing is?” He refers to the electronic object he found in his room.
“Oh that. It’s called a digivice. It’s used to help me to digivolve, just like when I was Boymon,” I explain.
Well, I do know some stuff, but everything isn’t clear to me. I know for sure that I must protect Travis at all costs. I must follow him everywhere, but where exactly are we walking? I follow the kid for hours. He walks as if he knows his way around here. He’s never been to the Digiworld before today. Then again, I am only 2 days old, so what do I really know?
Still, I ask him, “Do you know where you’re going?”
“Not a clue,” he replies, “But this is better than waiting around there. What if Safarimon returns?”
“True,” I agree, “Let’s keep going.”
We hear a loud noise.
“What was that?” Travis wonders as he looks around the desolate valley. He tells me, “Teemon, I think you need to be on guard.”
“Relax, it was just my stomach,” I assure him.
“Really? You must be really hungry,” he says then laughs. He states, “I bet you are after that fight? We haven’t eaten anything since I got here.”
“You’re right. I am hungry. We need to find something to eat,” I tell him with my hand on my tummy.
I hear Travis’s stomach growl too. He agrees, “Lead the way.”
I don’t know where I am going but my new bigger tummy leads us into a nearby forest. We walk for hours deeper into the unknown. I look to Travis. He raises his nose to pick up a smell.
“What is it?” I ask him.
“I don’t know, but it smells sweet.” the kid says as he starts to run ahead of me.
“Wait up,” I yell behind him as I follow him. I hate running.
Travis comes to a sudden stop at the start of a clearing. I catch up to him. We both look at a cabin. He points ahead at the cabin. I look. He shows me a pie cooling in the window sill.
“I don’t believe this Teemon,” says Travis.
I insist, “Then, don’t believe it.”
“You’re right,” he replies. His stomach growls louder than mine just did. He suggests, “We gotta check it out first.” He walks toward the cabin.
I walk beside him and say, “No we don’t. I have a bad feeling about this.”
“And since when do we trust your feelings?” wonders Travis, “An exactly how long have you had these kind of feelings?”
“That’s not the point,” I angrily tell him, “The point is that I am trying to protect you. We don’t know what we may encounter while we try to solve the problem of evil digimon.”
Travis looks at the cabin and says, “Tell me that pie doesn’t smell delicious.”
I look and reply, “It does, but from where did it come and who made it?”
We see what looks to be a woman place a second pie on the window sill.
“That’s who,” he yells. Travis starts to run to the cabin.
I reluctantly follow the kid. We both stop at the door. Travis knocks. A little old
lady in a light green housecoat answers.
“May I help you?” she asks us.
Travis notices that she doesn’t look like a typical elderly human. He whispers to me, “Do you know who she is?”
I whisper back, “This is Grandmon. She’s only a Rookie digimon. She is known for her generous hospitality.”
Travis stomach growls again. He says to Grandmon, “Hi, my friend and I have
been walking through these woods for quite a while. We are hungry. We smelled the aroma of your pies …”
Before he could finish talking, Grandmon asks, “Do you want some pie?”
“Yes Ma’am,” we both say.
“Sure,” she tells us, “I’ve been baking all day because I was expecting company.”
We sit in her kitchen. She places a whole pie in front of each of us. We smile as we take a fork and begin eating.
I say, “Apple pie is my favorite.”
“What’s your favorite pie?” she asks Travis.
He tells her, “I too like apple pie, but I have to say that sweet potato pie will always be my favorite.”
“Really?” Grandmon says. She walks toward her oven and returns with a sweet potato pie. She places it in front of Travis.
He tells her, “No, I can’t. I’ve had enough sweets for the day.”
Grandmon wonders, “Are you worried you’ll spoil your appetite?”
“No,” answers Travis, “It’s just that I’m getting full.”
Grandmon looks into his eyes. Her eyes turn completely green. She asks him, “Are you sure about that?”
I look up from my pie at them.
Travis starts to eat the pie ferociously.
“What are you doing?” I ask him.
He ignores me and keeps eating.
I finally figure it out. I stand and accuse, “What did you do Grandmon?”
“Nothing. He just wanted to eat more pie,” Grandmon tells me.
“No he didn’t. You must’ve hypnotized him,” I say as I step from the table.
“So what if I did?’ she asks me, “There’s nothing you can do about it.”
“Yes there is. Flame Blaster!” I shout.
Grandmon attacks at the same time. She shouts, “Bakery Barrage!” Various cake
and pies materialize and fly at me.
One by one, the pastries enter my mouth. I unintentionally eat them. They were
delicious, but I remember I’m fighting and begin to punch the desserts away from me.
Grandmon gets angry and yells, “Oh yeah? Try this.” Her attack turns into all fruitcakes.
I hate fruitcake so I continued to punch and added a few kicks to the food fight. I kick one fruitcake and it flies back at Grandmon. The cake hits her in the face and knocks her unconscious. While she lies on the floor, I walk over to Travis. He recovers from his hypnotic daze.
He moans, “Ow my stomach. Why am I still eating?”
“I’ll tell you later, but right now, we have to get out of here,” I tell him as I pull on his arm.
Travis struggles to his feet and follows me out of the back door. He asks, “What’s going on?”
I say, “A lot. Let’s just get out of here before it’s too late.” I hear glass break inside the cabin and goes, “Too late.”
We hear from inside the cabin, “Grandmon digivolve to GreatGrandmon.” The digimon grows enough to break through the roof.
“Who’s that?” Travis asks.
I tell him, “That’s GreatGrandmon, her Champion form. As sweet as Grandmon was, GreatGrandmon is bitter.”
I pull Travis along to escape. He can hardly move because he ate so much. He falls to the ground. I try to lift him, but he’s too heavy now. GreatGrandmon is still yet to find us. I still try to get Travis to his feet. He moans too loud.
GreatGrandmon finds us. She jumps straight into the air and comes back down a few feet away from us. We fall to the ground. I stand and try to move Travis. GreatGrandmon lifts her leg and tries to stomp us. I must protect Travis. I stand under her leg to hold it up, thus foiling her plan. She adds pressure to her stomping power. I feel my strength increase also. I push up on her foot. She tries to crush me, but I remove her foot form on top of me. GreatGrandmon stumbles and falls.
I display strength I don’t know I had. I now know what I should do. I go Travis who lies on the ground asleep. I lift him onto my back and carry him to safety. I place him in some bushes. Still asleep, he burps. I chuckle then run back to fight GreatGrandmon. She continues to try to stomp me.
“Come back here you little insect,” she yells at me.
I try to position myself for a good shot, but I have to move whenever she tries to stomp me.
She then jumps into the air again and shouts, “Major Shockwave!” The impact from when she lands makes the ground and everything shake.
I fall to the ground.
“I got you now,” GreatGrandmon declares as she tries to stomp me.
“No you don’t,” I say as I roll out of the way.
“Hey,” she yells.
I dodge her foot again.
“You can’t run forever,” she says to me.
“Watch me,” I taunt. Bad thing is that I’m starting to run out of energy. I look to Travis and hope that there’s a reaction from his digivice so I digivolve to Champion and defeat GreatGrandmon. I run under her feet to try to trip her.
“What are you doingggggg?” she asks as she falls on her behind.
I jump up as she makes hard contact with the ground. I look to Travis again and mumbles, “Come on digivice.”
GreatGrandmon tries to stand.
I use this opportunity to attack her. I shout, “Flame Blaster!”
Fire engulfs her. She screams. She dedigivolves and becomes Grandmon again.
The fight completely exhausts her. She lies unconscious in the grassy clearing. Now that I’m stronger, I carry her back into her cabin. Then I got back outside, lift Travis onto my back, and walk away from there. (The scene freezes)
