Yay for Dead Space, Just finished the Dead Space 3: Awakened. It was alot of fun. do you play it on Xbox 360?
Definitely an awesome game. ("Awakened" is a little short but pretty epic.)
What weapons do you use?
I crafted an assault rifle with bouncing Tesla bolas and fire damage. Pretty handy against groups of necromorphs.

Duuuuude, you need telementary spike top - military engine bottom - upper tip diffraction torus - lower tip conic dispersal with damage support and stasis cating - all with red upgrade circuits - this gun mows down every type of enemy!
Ah, thats the Chaingun top, shotgun bottom right? Pretty nice weapon, the rate of fire is pretty insane. Another friend of mine used the Telementary spike/ Diffraction torus top, Survey charge/Directed suspension field lower to make a chain gun/rocket launcher.
Another weapon I have uses the Tesla core/compresser top, plasma core/diffraction torus bottom. bouncing bolas again but with a higher rate of fire, and the contact beam's alternate fire to throw nearby enemies away.
