This is a commission for
askir, which will serve as the printed background for a play mat he'll use for Magic the Gathering (NEEEEERD).
I worked my ass off on this. Does it show? I don't know. I think I did a great job on the kobold, but trying this shading style on those bizarre, complex slivers was a bitch and a half. It was a learning experience, certainly.

It look really great. My only nitpick I guess is that I feel there's still a little too much contrast along some of the edges/"lines", mostly along his sleeves and arms. His stomach and shorts blend with the thing behind him much better.

I am disappointed in how much less impressive Slivers have become now that tribal is a thing...
They still are the strongest tribe though, and I am surprised there hasn't been anything like this before!

Oh, for those curious as to which slivers are there:
Harmonic Sliver (the one Askir's arms are on)
Crystalline Sliver (the greenish one behind Askir)
Sidewinder Sliver (the one to the right of Askir)

Heh, and to think because of playing Commander... I couldn't get a Sliver deck to work in commander, but I did manage to get a scarecrow Commander deck working with Reaper King as it's Commander. Iiiitttt's Harvest Time!

Oh Gods no. I hate slivers with an undying passion, my first "real" magic battle was against a guy with a sliver deck. He slaughtered me with 27 damage while i was at 1 life...but i digress.
